Hurzeler's hair died for this

0-2 against Sunderland away today, absolutely brilliant

Don’t underestimate the mentality element of this Brighton side either; for all their tactical ingenuity, the single biggest contributor to their win against Arsenal was a rugged desire to win every second ball and create an opportunity from every half chance. They’re very good

Glad to see people praising Hurzeler. He’s a great manager.

Alex is getting better and better, such a good dynamic. Please keep making these longform tactics videos. Athletic sucks now but these two are why I stay subbed

Kostoulas is absolutely vital for this too. Great season from him so far, I wonder if he can keep it up

Whole Brighton scouting team must be studied, they're always able to make a good player that we know almost nothing about prior to play for them.

Historically speaking Brighton seems always able to take the leap and know how to develop them to PL level player mentally and physically.

Other teams might know who to sign but unsuccessfully developed them.

In other words they're the masters of both offensive and defensive transitions

Brighton’s second ball recoveries are very relentless

Didn't realize the Craft Beer Channel guy had so much football tactical nous. Respect.

Hürzeler: see I'm not a monster...

...I'm just ahead of the curve.

Carrick proceeds to grab Hürzeler

Curiously similar to Phil Jackson's Triangke Offense

The key here is intensity enabled by super fit players.

Diagonal Access, isn't that like Fernando Diniz's signature aspect of his relationist side, the triangles as well. I guess the PL hasn't really come up against relationist teams so not surprising they're struggling to figure it out.

I'm interested in how much Brighton managers are involved with the data guys. We know the data guys determine transfers but it can't be coincidence that the teams have led tactical trends over the same period. Could be they're hiring tactically sharp managers and hoping for the best but that sounds suboptimal.
