A man who could not forget. A man who kept score. This is not just about football drama. This is about how grudges can poison a legacy. So what does it say about Owen that his biggest fights are not with defenders who marked him, but with people he says stole his success? What does it mean when your enemies are not opponents wearing different colors, but teammates who wore the same shirt?

Quick thing, if you want to support this story, tap the Hype feature and give this video some hype while we get into the first name on Owen's list.

It's very hard to imagine how England were going to win the 1998 world cup. David Seaman was never a good enough goal keeper, Glenn Hoddle was never a good enough manager, and defensively that team were prone to making mistakes and lacked decent organisation.

He’s a grumpy old twisted man……that’s not old. Bet he’s the life and soul at parties.

Do you think people who are buying his book want to hear about his time as a TV pundit? Of course he's going to bring up things from 20 years ago ffs

I am surprised that he didn't put himself in there. "At no. 1. It's me. I can't stand me the most. 😅😂

Still doing that now, managers a German. Never seemed a team player Owen. No wonder Shearer thought that he hardly played for Newcastle and stole a living. To be fair anyone would do the same. Blatant cheating there all like that and Simeone never missed the penalties. Owen was one of the biggest divers of the era, touched down rolling. Ince its a penalty, if he scores that swagger is considered great confidence. Baggio and other greats have missed in WC finals are they arrogant as well. Might sell books but lots of piece here.

Owen was a lightweight. Can handle it it seems

Joe Allon did play for Newcastle, but it's not the Welsh midfielder that's pictured. Allon was a striker.

Also there were three Englishmen at Real Madrid the same time, Owen himself, Jonathan Woodgate and David Beckham.

The only thing that ruined Michael's trajectory was him, his own body, not anyone else. Virtually all players value money over clubs though, so Michael's not alone in that. We're full of em at Tottenham. One more thing, don't blame Simeone for Beckham's incompetence

1998 england was amazing, they should get to the final, but Argentina, Holanda, Brasil, Croatia, Yugoslavia, Denmark, Francés, Italy, all we're amazing teams.

This is the same guy that earned in the region of 70k to 90k a week at Liverpool....
Then made out he wished he played football in this era with what they earn.

Jesus wept, if you earned what this guy did in his career then you still wish you earned more.... that to me says all ya need to know about this guys mindset and priorities.
