What if You Talked in Subnautica? (Parody) - Part 1

Press Start To Laugh

The player character in Subnautica doesn't talk, which seems odd. You're stranded on an alien planet surrounded by nothing but water! Surely you'd say something... Let's fix that! Join me as I give the player a voice! Turns out, you might start going a bit looney after some time alone with nothing to eat but fish.

"We went and visited the Aurora earlier... met a friend"
"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA"

yeah, that's a normal reaction... hindsight tends to be a lot more chill, also...

i was waiting for the "Detecting multiple leviathan class lifeforms in the regin. Are you certain whatever you're doing is worth it?" whole episode LOL

Any game: Has a character that doesn't talk
Press Start: This sounds like a job for me

"Visited Aurora. Met a friend"

The scary thing is, you can tell he's going insane. as time progresses, he starts to incorporate more sound effects into his speech, he mis-pronounces things more often, and laughs at random. he then begins acting as two personalities, and it's glaringly obvious he is not in a great state of mind.

Sounds about right.

Character: "No Insta-snap-book? Ugh, might as well just die now."
Reaper: "Need a hand?"

When he says "we"or "us" he just sounds like an enthusiastic YouTuber.

Also I love Subnautica, thank you for the laughs!

I absolutely love how he gives character to voices. Not just voicing them, but making it feel like they're actually talking. As if the character ACTUALLY said that. It's amazing.

@davicossamuel1911 5 years ago (edited)

I like how since day 7 he begins referring to himself not as “I” or “me” but instead as “we” and “us” to show his madness lurking in his mind

"People eat seaweed, right?"

Yes, yes they do. Not only is it edible, its very easy to make safe for consumption, and is relatively nutritious, though lacking in fat and protein. As such, finding a good supply of it is a great find in a survival situation
