Some dreams stay with us for a lifetime.

Last year, I travelled to Nepal to document Hans Donner as he set out to fulfil a boyhood dream: to skydive against the backdrop of Mount Everest.

The Journey follows Hans from the streets of Kathmandu into the Himalayas as he prepares to take on an experience he had imagined since he was a boy.

But this film is about more than just the skydive.

It’s about the journey that takes us towards the things we’ve always wanted to do. The anticipation, the uncertainty, the people we meet along the way and what it actually feels like when a dream you’ve carried for years finally becomes real.

Filmed on location in Nepal, The Journey captures one man’s pursuit of an extraordinary ambition against one of the most spectacular landscapes on Earth.

For me, this was also a journey.

I went to Nepal with a camera to document Hans’s story, without really knowing what we would come back with. What followed became a film I’m incredibly proud to finally share.
