If the Fnirsi HS-02A shuts down with a voltage warning, you can manually reduce the power draw, or use the automatic: Put the cap on the iron, it will get hot. Hold the middle button [>] , while connecting the power cable. The iron auto-adjust its power rating for the plugged powerbrick.

I got the FNIRSI, without thinking I used a 65W power supply but only used enough heat to melt solder and had no problems (I wasn’t pushing it), will use the Apple 140W charger in future.

Wow! Thanks for the video, it made me learn something today! I had no idea these USB C soldering irons even existed! Im still over here with my old AC powered Weller thats pushing 20 years old 😂 I have several big boy power banks and a 140w charger so I definitely have the power for one of these units. My uncle repairs electronics for a living (mainly musical stuff like amps, keyboards, organs back in the day) and something like this would have been perfect back in the day when he did service calls. But I still think it would be something that hed like juat for the novelty and portable nature of these irons. So cool.

I went from the Pinecil V2 to the Miniware TS101, and recently to the Alientek T90B. It was a very noticeable upgrade each time, especially the 245 tips, though I do slightly miss the “cat ears” of the TS101. 😄

3:01 A cheap USB tester is the $15 Kowsi KWS-X1 from aliex. As a bonus it has fast charge mode tests (up to USB PD 3.0) and scope-like voltage ripple graph.

Got a alientek t80p based on your previous video. Very happy with it, super compact. It's a bit picky with chargers and cables but I suspect more the latter then the soldering iron itself. Now the iron tips is also a topic on its own, I'm on c245 but considering getting a c210 for large stuff
