it is criminal that your vids aren't more watched. excellent advice, testing, and commentary on the way you test and what is worth the time and money in buying. love it mate, thank you.

@Jeremyx96x 1 month ago

The fact that you put all your testing data into an super organized website is so amazing. Thank you so much for these!

@jerryismybff 1 month ago

Good find on the fact that some 40Gbps cables will function at 80Gbps. This was actually built into the USB4 80Gbps specification (and therefore Thunderbolt 5). The cable signal integrity requirements for 40Gbps are identical to those for 80Gbps. 80Gbps signal rate actually transmits in "trits" instead of "bits", meaning there isn't a big frequency bump required to double the data rate. So the outcome is that passive 40Gbps cables will work at 80Gbps. Active ones, like any certified 2m 40Gbps cable, will only work at up to 40Gbps because they internally retransmit the 40Gbps signals and that's all their signal drivers can do.

Came for the cables stayed for the testers. Brilliant work, thanks for the detailed tests and always improving website

I LOVE channels like these so much. I'm literally from south Asia, 90% of these products aren't even available for purchasing in my country, but I still watched this video and other videos from this channel because it is just brain food for my ADHD brain.
