These mini docs on famous people's lives are so fun and interesting to do!! Let me know who you'd like to see me do this sort of video on next and i'll jump on it x

It took me an embarrassingly long time to realize that salt bae was not a Johnny Depp character

For real i thought that salt sprinkling meme was johnny Depp. This donut is getting educated right now

Gold leaf sheets are about £1 each, so even if they put £5 of gold on the steak, that’s some markup.

We went to his restaurant in Turkey and at the time I had no idea who he was. He came to our table and did that thing where he feeds you steak off the end of the knife and I have never been more embarrassed in a restaurant having 'the waiter' come over and insist he feed me 😭😂 my husband still pokes fun at me for having no idea what was going on

FYI, "bey" in Turkish means "mister". So his name is just Mr. Salt.

Even if I was in a cheapo restaurant, I cannot imagine how disrespected I'd feel if the waiter was actually on a phone call while serving.  I think I'd probably walk.

The meltdown over the elbow hit is valid 😂😂😂

About eating goldflakes. Here in the Netherlands there is this alcoholic beverage with goldflakes in it. It's called "Bruidstranen", it's translated like "tears of a bride" .
In some parts of our country it is served at weddings. It does nothing for the taste, it just looks nice. And it leaves the body undigested and is harmless for your health, just not for your wallet..
Personally i think it is ludacris.
Greetings from the Netherlands to everyone and Cam and family!

Him being so dismissive towards his “fans” and customers is the worst thing of all. Him just blowing off the boy opening up to him physically hurts to watch.

"better be shitting gold for that price" well well well, you dont actually digest gold (gold leaf in this case) so yes in fact you would

15:24 bro is definitely not coming from the kitchen. He’s not even sweating a little.

He just hangs out in the back till he has to sprinkle some salt 🤣

"I think he just cut that fly in half."
- yeah that costs extra.

Cam is feeding us better than salt bae EVER could 🙏🏻

If you work at like a law firm or whatever and the company is making $10million a year you could take out your clients to a fancy restaurant, spend $50k on food, to essentially bribe you client/ impress them, then claim it as a business expense and it gets deducted from your taxes. They see the fact that they owe $4 million to the tax man as $4 million they have to spend on things that are technically deductable.
That's the reason business people fly business class which costs 100x the price, that's the money that should go to fund the roads and hospitals.
That's who is eating at these restaurants and that's why there's so many obscene prices in London and Miami, the cities with the most obscene business people in the world.

Literally never heard of this guy other than the silent salt gif. Don't feel like I missed much haha

Dude, as a South African, I really battled to understand your accent when I first started watching your vids, but I just realized now that I no longer battle. Thanks for preparing me for becoming a UK resident. 😂😂😂

A Turkish donut living in the UK here 👋
He was never particularly popular in Turkey. Most people criticised him for slapping the meat before cooking, which is generally seen as rather disrespectful.

19:16 as a former server of a high end Italian restaurant having AirPods in is never excusable! It’s about providing not just food but an experience to our guest and a major role in that is communication. Talking helps us bond to our guest and create unforgettable shared memories, what if that man had a birthday? As the owner of a restaurant especially one priced so high take the day off! There was no reason for him to go to their table no matter how annoying and treat them as such. They quite literally paid for his time, his presence and the act he himself set the prices for. They did their part now it’s his turn!

12:51 A real pet peeve of mine. When you sharpen a knife you grind off small particles of metal that also stick to the knife. Then you proceed to cut the meat without wiping it off. Guess where it ends up?
