I once saw the clip of Dan making Jennette uncomfortable, along with Miranda, and Jerry Trainor (who played Spencer) got them away from Dan. Jerry was very protective of the kids, and he helped promote Jenette's book.
He is an unspoken hero in their lives

Her book, “I’M GLAD MY MOM DIED” is so sad yet fascinating. What she had to go through and what her mom put her through is so F*cked up. And it didn’t get better with fricking Schneider on set as well. I hope Jen is doing way better now. May she live better now.

It’s so sad how a child can love so naturally, even their own abusers. And adults can be so abusive, manipulative and neglectful of their own children

This is terrible, her mom just played her like she was a puppet, that is so sad. She was just forced to do stuff she didn't want to and got disorders because of it.

Bruh… her mom bathed her up until she moved out of the house. That’s so predatory. Imagine having a physically and mentally stable 15 year old, and still giving them baths 😳

This is SO sad.
Poor, POOR Jennette.
From childhood, she was abused by her sick and twisted mother.

And was treated horribly by Dan on Nickelodeon.
AND playing a character that she felt was mocking her real day to day life.

However, it's SO amazing that she rose up from that painful trauma to write that memoire.

To have to deal with all of that at a young age, not telling most (or anyone) what you've been through.

Yet STILL being alive to tell the tale today is beautiful.
THAT is real strength.

She performed for my city, I got to meet and greet her, she let me hug her and I remember crying because I really liked Jeanette, she felt like a cool role model for me cause I was so quiet and picked on a lot at that age. She smiled at me and signed my art book, I can very vividly remember how she put a little smiley when I called her by her name unlike my mother who tried to call her Sam. Meeting her was the highlight of my childhood. I wish her everything and more for the rest of her life.
