WARNING do NOT use water when the blade guards are removed. I don't think it caused any issues, I didn't really spray that area, but it's not worth the risk. The water did almost no good, and scared me when things did not work after re-assembly. A damp rag can do just about anything the hose can do for a project like this. I was just doing the research about ceramic coating my new luba 5000x. Will definitely try it out before letting it loose on the grass.

But I am a sucker for fluid film on everything else so if/when it wears down im going that route. Thanks for a detailed video

I lower the blades as far as they go down and use a soft bristle bottle brush about 2” wide with a bendable handle. Bend it to get it in. It clears all the grass over and behind the guards and around the rubber gasket.  A cheap set of mini picks and hook set works great for getting the grass under and around the blades

Have you considered putting it in a ultrasonic with a little dawn or degreaser and water and let it do the small stuff, I picked up a vevor 10l and it's been a time saver on my small engine parts. Also I know everyone don't have the option but change your mow time when your grass is dry and you or I don't get that kind of build up, even on my regular mowers or tractor most I have to clean is blowing off with the blower or dusting area off with a brush and the same on Maxx and so far it's been great. Also I would mention that I try to pressure wash my powered lawn mowers and it's been well over 8 or more o years with no problems I used to cut the lawn when it was cool and grass not dry hopefully this helps someone.

Assuming that was what the edit was for as you ran to stick your foot in front of the sensor 😀

Just FYI dry graphite lubricant is not paint. If you wipe it with some sort of towel it will come off like nothing. I suspect one use and it will be gone.

Also 3d print or cut out some blade covers to prevent the grass stopping the blades

Trying to figure out what your luba 2 under deck is shiny and smooth while my luba 2x under deck is dull and kind of rough even though it's  brand new.

You’d probably have less issue if you got control over all that weed pressure and Luba was cutting grass instead of weeds and wildflowers.

Remove the side guards completely

What is the cover that you have over the stop button?

Is there an update on how this is going? Wondering if it's worth doing when my Luba 2 when it gets here, as I had a lot of buildup with Luba 1.

*think it looks pretty good..............from a distance 😂😂😂😂

I would absolutely not recommend to wash with water underside. Especially when you have removed guards which seal rubber. Many users get water this way inside of luba and damage Luba electronic

Nice video.  I think I ask you before how long you have had your LUBA.  Did you buy an extended warranty?  Thank you for the information.
