This is a travel video from my first trip to the outlying islands of Okinawa in a year!

I headed to Naha, planning to travel to Akajima and Agunijima the next day (July 2026).

This video shows my trip from the first day to Akajima, after staying overnight in Naha and traveling to Akajima the following day.

I had a wonderful reunion at Naha Airport right at the beginning!

Exactly one year ago, I took a similar trip, staying 3 nights on Akajima and 3 nights on Agunijima, but unfortunately, my GoPro broke down on my first day on Akajima, so I had to enjoy the trip without filming. This time, it was supposed to be a revenge trip! ...However, a typhoon was approaching, so I departed without knowing if I would even be able to go to Agunijima, and ended up heading to Akajima. Before departure, I learned from the innkeeper that if I stayed for the three nights as originally planned, there was a high probability that the return ferry wouldn't depart. Therefore, I was forced to choose to return to the main island after only one night, on the day the ferry was guaranteed to depart. But I was so sad to leave Akajima after only one night…
"It's okay if I can't do anything. I just want to stay on Akajima."
With these thoughts in my heart, I departed from Haneda.
Then, as soon as I arrived at Naha Airport, I received a call from the innkeeper.
Thanks to their kindness, I decided to stay on Akajima.
My first day on Akajima was spent under these circumstances.
The sea was so calm, as if it were the calm before the storm, and above all, the sky and sea were incredibly beautiful; I was able to see the most magnificent Kerama Blue.

My heart was overflowing with joy, and I felt unparalleled happiness.
And this time, we went to Aka Bridge after the sun had set.

The sunset sky from Aka Bridge, which I saw for the first time, was more beautiful than anything I had ever seen before, and it became a memory I will cherish forever.
