Travelling is so exhausting, disorienting and destabilising. Takes a long time to recover from it.

You went traveling to find adventure, but ultimately found yourself. It all unfolded exactly as it was meant to.

travelling didn't ruin your life, it made you realise to change yourself, it made you realise that all problems are within yourself and not somewhere else..

My constant urge to travel to some mountain was greatly dissolved by just having a small garden in my house and revamping the rooms and spaces. Now every room in my home offers a different vibe. There is enough variety and I just love being here.

May be some others can relate.

No matter how far you travel you take you with you. Looked for a geographical cure for many years and finally discovered the problem was internal rather than external.

There’s an old saying, ‘wherever you go, there you are’. Happiness has to come from within, you won’t find it externally.

Travelling didn't ruin your life. Your life ruined your travel.

I notice long term travelers carry a lot of issues. Traveling is just a distraction and when they need to go home they will be hit hard.

There’s no escape. It’s just right here, right now. You’re either here or your in your head. Spend less time in thought and more time embracing this beautiful moment in time

This really resonates with me. I spent the whole year last year just travelling was so miserable doing it. I’ve finally settled down with a 9-5 and i’m still tempted to pack and fly somewhere else. It’s really a temporary relief and came to the realization that I was running away from my problems. I love your honesty 🥰

Yeah, as a 78 year old who cannot even remember all the many places he has lived I would echo your warning. You can get caught up in the romance of travel and the stimulation of constant change to the point where it runs your life. Before you know it time goes by and land somewhere worn out, without a life, without friends and...? Becoming a vagabond exacts a price!

Two cures for depression are goals and adventure. It's really that simple

Hes not talking to you , he's talking to himself. Comforting himself , reassuring himself and that's ok.

Emotions and feelings can be directed and controlled. Travel is not ruining anyones life. If your motivation for doing anything is escape, you will be let down regardless of the method. I am American from Sacramento but have lived in Mexico, China and traveled and spent time in many places...not bragging. My motivation was not escape but exploration. Travel exposed me to so many things outside of my bubble and I feel blessed for it.
