the way the "congratulations" font moved around the screen really solidified that this entire game looks like the animations from bowling.

Finding one button that works and spamming it over and over is how I played fighting games at Chibi Moon's age. The devs really went for authenticity there.

Speaking of useless mechanics, おちゃめ (Ochame, or “cuteness”) is by far the worst offender. Other stats affect the length of the health bar or how hard you hit, but a high Ochame stat makes your character do “cute” things mid-fight like brush their hair with their hand or point and wave at the camera lol

When smashing action figures together has smoother animations than your video game, you done ballsed it up

No picking Chibimoon = No picking Oddjob

The characters move like they come from a Robot Chicken episode

A bit of useless trivia: they didn't even get the colour of Sailor Mars's back bow right (it's meant to be red, not purple. Whether a purple back bow looks better on her is another matter).

Core Memory Unlocked
I actually played this with my family way back! Can confirm, the sound issues happened on original Playstation hardware, too!

"Wait, Sailor Moon S is like, kusoge royalty! It shouldn't belong to Worst Fighting Ga-

PS1? Oh. OH."

I just remembered how horrible Chibiusa's sprite was. My god she's the size of a newborn with the proportions of a pre-teen. She looked like a tiny fairy.

I'll give the game one thing.

[Spoiler For the Video]

Chibi Moon's spam the low kick is a perfect representation of playing against a younger sibling.

The characters being described as "Fucking Gumby" just made me chuckles and is the reason i love this channel!

There being three different video game companies called Monolith is a special kind of irony that I just love.

8:15 It was nice of Rei to cut a promo for one of those bowling alley interstitial animations.

You can’t ignore me forever, Matt! You WILL have to play the Ranma 1/2 games

When you said Chibi-Usa was redrawn for the Saturn release, I wasn’t expecting her to be smaller than a character from the first six Final Fantasy games in the PlayStation version.

17:07 Missed the opportunity to say "bottom of the Beryl."

Chibiusa's proportions just look so weird and wrong. It looks like they aged her up and then shrunk her.

My brother watches your channel all the time, but when he warned me that you would review this game, he was worried that I would be offended, being a Sailor Moon Fan and all. But no, I find this review refreshing, honest, and very funny, so in the name of Mars, I approve this review. Ok, but for real, I love your channel, and your views on fighting games. I am definitely subscribed to your channel and like this episode.
