Used until 1973!

It looks, quite literally, unbelievable. Something about the sheer massive scale and the repetitive symmetry make it look unreal. More like a CGI asset copied into a shot of the scenery than an actual monument 19 centuries old.

I was there.  I vacationed, in Madrid, for one short week.  I took the train to Segovia just to see this Roman aquaduct.  I was in complete awe of it.  It is so enormous and so beautiful.  The highlight of my entire trip.

We'll be in Segovia next week, thank you for the historic perspective of the Roman aqueduct.

Priceless... my favorite monument in Spain by far...

Thank you so much for these quiet, calm and authentic videos of each site. I love the moments of silence when you allow us to hear the birds and the crowds. I hope to one day join you on one of your tours!

1973, that's crazy.

The most amazing thing about this Aqueduct is that it was built WITHOUT any mortar!! The stones were cut precisely to fit tightly and securely. Today, 2000 years later, they still stand undisturbed. An incredibly amazing engineering feat!!!!

Stunning not many buildings built today would last 500 years let alone 1500!

Thanks for the eloquent dialogue as always garrett. One of the best to ever do it.

Man it still looks like a billion bucks!

I was there in 1992. It’s really in great shape. It’s worth a trip out there to see.

was there in March, incredible place, highly recommended. Also worth adding Avila with her medieval walls nearby

It's just objectively beautiful.

I love me some Roman aqueducts! Thank you and algorithm

Incredible!

I was there a few years ago and picked the Aqueduct up as we rode our motorbikes into Segovia.  A spectacular sight we stayed an extra day to look at everything properly.

Segovia is a beautiful city. Not just for the aqueduct but for the castle, and the old town and walls. Not to be missed!

One of the best channels on YouTube hands down

Horizontalité et verticalité parfaites rien qu'avec des blocs empilés. Un chef-d'oeuvre de simplicité.
