My personal favorite lessons are the ones about the great books. Regardless of whether one agrees with the takes he makes, I have found these lessons inspiring to read the books and see for myself. In my eyes, this makes him a great teacher. What I've found out so far, is that if you engage with the literature, you kind of begin to see the logic he applies to his reasonings. Thank you!

A savant level self educated taxi driver back in the early 90s wrote a book on Dante's Divine Comedy. His bibliography was pages upon pages. He basically showed that when comparing the divine comedy to many other masterpieces of art and culture throughout human history, there were elegant mathematical patterns and matrices that proved time was not linear. And that all the sciences were connected rather than fractured. It's something someone needs to look into with a computer model. Because this was before they were easily utilized for such analyses. His name escapes me but he was obviously incredible at seeing such evidence of us being part of something far more vast than we typically assume.
