I avoid saying “mandatory viewing”, but this trilogy is one of those times.

When the credits roll at end of dawn was always eerie to me. The way the dead are fully back in the mall and it shows the clock and then you hear the final bell of the audio. Its eerie

Joseph Pilato was one of the great underrated bad guy performances of the 80s. So friggin good.

For Day Of The Dead, Romero invited people who wanted to be in the movie at their own expense to come out and play zombies. My friend did it. Traveled from Ohio, got a motel room and provided a costume (his graduation gown and cap). In one scene, a hero zombie gets shot and falls down. My friend was directly behind him, and you get a quick glimpse of him. He's in the film for a total of like, two frames. I wonder if that counts against his 15 minutes of fame.

I saw "Night of the Living Dead" in 1968 when i was 11. Didn't sleep that whole night

My first introduction to the dead trilogy was summer of 96 i believe. I was at a friends house and we were going through his older brothers playstation games. We played resident evil for the first time and upon that first zombie turning his head towards you we were so freaked out we immediately shut off the playstation and went outside. Mind you we were only 11 lol. I remember telling my mom about it at dinner and she said "sounds like dawn of the dead". I asked what is that and she said a movie she saw 20 years prior. Later that week she took me to Blockbuster and rented it. I must have watched that movie a hundred times since. And my love for the dead trilogy and original resident evil ps1 era trilogy still lives. Thanks Mom.

Day of the Dead in my opinion was his best zombie film. The effects (Tom Savini) were incredible, the setting was so interesting, and the gore was off the charts!! Simply the best.

Day of the Dead is the greatest Zombie film ever made and Romero's favourite. He said it in interviews and Tom Savani said that was the best work he himself ever did

Didn't discover "Day of the Dead" until '06 (was born early 80's) but I love that film. The smaller scale, the confinement, mostly interesting characters, great effects & with a solid 80's music score. Just having all these differing people underground leads to some nice standoffs & situations.

Dawn of The Dead has always been my favorite. But Day of The Dead has been growing on me as well in recent years.

Dawn is a cold stone classic. There was a student documentary made, and essentially, one of the observations posited had to do with the "rushes" looking "loose"; even though the majority was storyboarded. When Romero went into the editing booth, he was masterful and supremely skilled. Night of The Living Dead has some brilliant editing and storyboarding.

The Dead trilogy is simply outstanding. God bless the techies for inventing 4k because Dawn of the Dead in the highest definition is superb! God bless and rest Gorge Romero.

I got to meet the lady who played Barbara and the man who played Johnny from Night Of The Living Dead at a convention. I asked them their favorite films in the franchise, they both said Night. They even said the remake was unnecessary. Which is something I agree with. But my favorite is Dawn.

Personally I thought Land was a nice fit for the progression of the zombies.

Always assumed Tarantino was really into Day of the Dead since Joe Pilato had a cameo in Pulp Fiction

Hope everybody spotted Norm MacDonald at 11:34 of this video as one of the chained zombies in Day of the Dead…

Just saw it on the big screen, with Ken Foree Q and A afterwards

There's dozens of extras in these films as zombies and Tarantino decides to convince people he's a living character with speaking parts and close-ups. Absolutely unhinged.

OG Dawn is the greatest zombie film ever, but the least televised one of the last 25 yrs, for some reason

Night of the Living Dead was shot over the hill from where I lived as a teenager. It's a podunk garbage town outside of pittsburgh. The joke was that it was a documentary of the people around that place.
