Lukewarm flavorless TV static is the best description of carbonated water I've ever heard.

It’s nice that you include Edwin in your activities.  Good on you for helping a special needs adult.

This isn't how cabins are made. This is how you make a castle

Here's my pitch for the Title of Edwins future book. "Ideas you can't even think"

i want to see a mini temu concrete mixer truck on that mountain 😄

Screw the 1k year cabin idea... Lets do evil wizard tower instead.
After completion you can randomly make purple smoke and play really loud chanting noises.
Start rumors, create a local ghost story.

Edwin needing to be grounded to the earth sitting in a pond sounds like a magic mushroom adventure. On the next episode of sent and bent, let us know what color bird sounds are. 😂 (I can laugh because I have been there)

you'll need roman concrete, rich in quick lime that hasn't been slaked, if you want it to last a thousand years. when it cracks, and water gets in, it forms more rock.

Building with rocks that weigh thousands of pounds really is just Lego on expert mode! :trophy-yellow-smiling:

Lime is used so the mortar is self healing. Just add water.😊

Can't wait to see the new machine at the property!

Granite gets its rare blue color from specific internal minerals like labradorite and sodalite that scatter and reflect light.

Sparkling water is literally the worst tasting drink ever made!

Theres a method in dry stone walling where you have two rows of rocks ===== that start X apart and you build up and together so it tapers up to the top. And every now and then you have a Bridger ===I===I===I=== that spans across and reinforces both sides together. And in-between the two rows you backfill with lots of little rocks and stones. you want it all to not move. And you chock/wedge every stone with a smaller stone. And generally you don't need any mortar. But for a house I expect you will to negate drafts and water ingress.

Nothing like a lukewarm flavorless tv static..That shit was top tier 😆😆😭😭

A few tablespoons of dawn will reduce the surface tension across that pond enough to drown all the larvae in place without having any effect on the environment outside of anything that may be eating them. The lack of larvae having the effect not the tiny amount of surficant/soap.

just calling rock insolation and a moisture barrier is quite an interesting way of not having to do them. here in Spain many rural houses are build with rock and they are cold and moist in winter haha. have fun guys

Most people build a cabin and hope it lasts 50 years. Grind Hard apparently wants the warranty department to still be answering calls in the year 3026. 😂

This project is such a cool change of pace from all the crazy vehicles you guys normally build.

There’s something incredibly satisfying about using stone and trying to create something that is meant to outlive not only the builder, but potentially many generations after him. Stone structures can survive for centuries when the foundation, drainage and roof are done properly — and that makes every decision during construction matter.

I also like that this isn’t just about making the cabin look ancient. Building on a mountain in North Idaho means frost, moisture, snow loads and ground movement all become part of the engineering problem. “Strong enough today” and “still standing hundreds of years from now” are two very different goals.

At RAZBORGRUZ we normally work with truck engines, gearboxes, frames and damaged heavy machinery, but the philosophy feels strangely similar: build it properly, understand where the loads go, and don’t hide a bad foundation under something pretty. 😄

Don’t forget to add drain tile to help with moisture.

You really ought to put perforated pipe and gravel in the upside of the hill for drainage behind the wall.
