This took a while to make. Even though I'm back in college, I'll try to maintain consistency from now on.

"Play has no limits" has become the most ironic tag line of all time.

The PS5 and Series X feel like mid-gen upgrades for the last ones instead of new machines. That is just how consoles are now. Not much interesting stuff or new stuff going on anymore. They are at a point where "everything has been invented". That is why they are not exiting. Back then, seeing the upgrade from 8 to 16 bits, the move to 3D which is like the biggest turn ever, and going HD was probably the last "new thing" even if a bit more subtle of a change. Now, it is all the same.

Dude, i remember the Wii would like to play commercials from when i was little. It sold it to me hard.

My first game console I ever had was an Atari 7800. Pure gameplay and imagination. A lot of the players forgot all about that. They started chasing after cinematics (which can be cool) and frills. Now even the decent games feel padded with frills and hype.

till 2022 I got bored of PS4 games

and then in September 2025 after I play the Wii at the IT Museum in thailand I fell in love with the wii. nearly a year later (June 30th 2026) I finally bought my own wii and right now it sit on top of my dusty PS4 Pro.

Same, Gameboy, then Nintendo Wii, DS, PS3, PS4, PS5. PS4 was the last good era.

Man, I don’t even have modern up-to-date consoles, I got a Xbox 360 that I play on daily, along with a Nintendo switch light and a PlayStation 4, i’m honestly happy with just those consoles, I told myself the only way I would get a PS5 is if my PS4 somehow goes out and the repair is too much
