Sonic videos don't tend to do as well as Marvel and DC, so if you want me to keep making them, please share this with your friends that love Sonic!

Eggman doesn't hate his daughter, because she's not HIS daughter. She's Mr. Tinkers. And he does at least seem to take an interest in her. Heck, him not trying to hack her through a back door until his favorite son was MIA and she was uniquely qualified to help.... well that's a level of respect he doesn't show just anyone.

17:21 “even though she was created by one of the worst people on the planet” I thought you said she wasn’t made by Ken Penders tho 🤨

Belle: I can’t fight these guys.

Sonic: You idiot! You’re a toy! Use your karate kick action! pulls tails

Clearly these people don’t know what Filler really means in this day and age vs back then.

What is pretty unique of Eggman and Belle, it's that usually the rebel creation arc end with either going back to Eggman or fully rejecting him.

That doesn't happen with Belle, she chose to go away and make her own path, she accept the version of her father that raise her is gone but accept Eggman is her father too.

She never fully cut ties or stop caring for him, simply understood that who he chooses to be don't define her, and her choices are her own resposability.

Despite the many delays IDW Sonic goes through, I thoroughly enjoy this series. Belle is one of the new characters that really stand out. Her design is great and her backstory is engaging as well. Really want them to add her into a game, even if it's an NPC role.

Maria's sister does not have the same desease she had, it's confirmed in Shadow Generations.
And even though she hasn't been shown directly, there is a new character appearing in secondary material ("TailsTube" and "The Chaotix Casefiles") who is theorized to be her.

I think one thing that I love about Belle is the fact that she taps into something the Sonic series has never really touched: Found family.

Yes, her father is a supervillain, but she puts her foot down and says no to that lineage and instead chooses to go with people who genuinely care for her. It's sweet and honestly a good but not overstated lesson for thise kids who may not have an ideal blood family. I also do like though how she interacts with Sage, and I can't wait to see more of their dynamic in the future.

Also, at 14:10 to clarify something because I'm a huge dork - One of Geralds sons took up Robotics while the other took up history/researching ancient civilizations. Its implied that Maria is the Daughter of the latter son and that Marias sister is alive and she never suffered the disease she had and is alive and about Eggmans age.

All signs currently point to Professor Victoria "Tori" as being Marias sister, but there has yet to be a concrete acknowledgement and she's only been making appearances in things like Tails Tube/The Chaotix Casefiles.

I love the IDW Sonic comics but I still think one of its biggest missed opportunities was to not have Belle with Sonic and Tails during the Scrapnik Island mini-series; it would have perfect with her interacting with other dejected Eggman creations just trying to live without their creator defining who they are.

I love Belle. She ensures the legacy of Mr.Tinker remains throughout the comic and she offers a unique perspective on Eggman’s robots, including her relationship with Motobud, Metal, and now Sage.

0:11 I know more than a few people who would

I genuinely hope these Sonic videos never stop, even if they’re few and far between

Mr Tinker is the man Ivo Robotnik could’ve been, if his family had never neglected him after Maria’s death.

Part of me thinks it would've been funnier if the title was "The tragedy of Eggman's other daughter" but maybe that's a bit dickish

Small correction Maria's sister did not have her illness. It is speculated that Professor Tori is Maria's little sister.

17:52 LETS GOOOOOOOOO!

5:30 Missed the opportunity to call Omega “Grumpy Dumpty”.

Shadow, hilariously enough, fits into the Eggman family tree as Eggman's uncle.

I get so annoyed with accusations of 'filler' in media when it's really just world building and effect character writing when done right.  Taking a moment to let the cast breathe and explore their world allows for those big, sensational moments that come later to hit that much harder.
