Hope you guys enjoy the follow up sniper video. Quick Disclaimer: this video got into crunch time and I had some issues with my editing software. So I took some shortcuts and thats why certain aspects, like the timing and sound, might be a bit off. It was in an effort to release it today so that it wouldn't intrude on Sunday's video, and I think overall its still fine

Real ones know this is the third in a trilogy of sniper vids.

One thing that i do love about SWBF2 Classic Collection is that if you reach legendary on the weapon medals u have the option of choosing the base or award weapon while choosing your class

The ciudad battlefront sniper trilogy is now complete

Ok, seeing that range makes me tempted to actually go for the beam rifle.

Somehow, .50 cal gal returned

Ok, here's my thoughts on why everyone, myself included, thought the beam rifles range was shorter - that accuracy glitch may have made us think it was out of range.

I'm actually so glad you returned to the sniper because I totally forgot to comment about the beam rifle + award pistol combo. I'm so glad you talk about it. It's literally the perfect secondary to the beam rifle because it's a powerful side arm as well as a totally capable sniper rifle on it's own. It perfectly covers the beam rifle's weaknesses and complements it's strengths. Lots of classes do get the award pistol, but only the marksmen get the sheer volume of accurate long range fire with both a sniper rifle and an award pistol.

So i went out of my way to make a Star Wars battlefront 2 rebalance patch that "buffs" the beam sniper by making it a slower firing tradeoff from the main sniper, basically making it not a beam sniper. I did this because i felt that it was so inconsistent, and i absolutely believed the community when they said it lacked range. I now want to go back and just fix the hitbox and give it a 2x zoom

The bugged reticle makes sense, and may be the origin of the reduced range rumors. I thought it had a shorter range as well, but I was unaware of the reticle bug

you know, I'm a beam sniper enjoyer and even I could've sworn that the beam rifle has a shorter range.

Oh the horrors of the Beam Rifle's buggy headshots...~ Never knew it had that kind of range, so that was a legitimate "jumpscare" that paired well with the music used at 9:24, lol.

The beam rifle on Polis Massa hallways is beyond deadly. The craziness of the long two hallways and close quarters is so much fun to run it.

I feel like I must overcome my prejudice and master the legendary sniper

The perceived range loss has to be why I hated it; it was actually a misplaced crosshair the whole time
Massive to know that, to me

Can't wait for the Jet Trooper class analysis video. Love the videos.

For me the beam rifle's lower ammo count actually does make a difference on certain maps like Kashyyyk.  When playing as the clones/rebels it's fun to take up a sniping spot on the top of factory wall, and there aren't any ammo droids up there, and at those ranges you aren't picking up any ammo drops, meaning you have to run back to the ammo droid near the spawn location to refill once you run out.  The lower ammo count means more time running back, and less time sniping.

But this does bring me to an interesting point that might be worth a video.  At least on the PC version, there is an invisible Gonk droid that spawns on the  platforms on the walkways by the Empire/CIS side.  It's kind of near the forward most walkway outpost, right behind the forward most turret construction point.  It's the only one I know about, but I bet there are more.

12:22 headless horseman

Only recently I've noticed that each faction has its own color for traces of sniper rifles, rocket launchers, and (in bf1) orbital strikes - green for Empire, gold for Rebels, red/purple for CIS and blue for Republic

I just want to say, my favorite class has always been the base infantry class, specifically becuase of the primary. Can't wait to see it covered
