kino. I came all over my Sunset Shimmer figurine like a BOSS after this review.

It's so NOT 30 days. It's 30 full moons. Twilight would be stuck in the human world for like 2 years.

ITS 30 MOONS. WHICH IS 30 MONTHS

the scrapped finale for equestria girls was going to explore the human sunset shimmer, but the show was canceled after holidays unwrapped

I think the Midnight Sparkle transformation is a consequence of how she's been treated so far, you can clearly so throughout the film that most of the people around her are very nasty and treat her horribly. She's normally a subservant doormat, but once she gets ahold of all this power, she snaps and uses that power to do whatever she wants regardless of how it affects others. It's also why she only relented when Spike, her only companion, looked up at her as the world around him was being torn apart by her actions.

Gloria is in a similar situation, but completely unjustifiable since the problem was on her and her brother but she blamed it on Filthy Rich (who was actually let them keep the camp a while longer despite knowing they wouldn't be able to pay regardless).

"and I'm all out of arrows!"

The age comparisons seemed wrong

Honestly, the ponies probably ARE 16 to 18 years old

Yes they are adults, but ponies lifespans are different than humans. They mature at different ages just like how a dog is technically considered an adult at 1-2 years old

The CMC as freshman is totally believable too.

23:55 OMG A CHIBI VAMPIRE REFRENCE!

One of my problems with equestria girls is sunset not being an alicorn, sunset redeemed herself and fixed what she broke in her past, so her not being treated more like a redeemed alicorn just baffles me a little bit

If Sci-Twi forgot Sunset helped her in Friendship Games then how exactly their fight looked like after their memories got erased? Twilight did said she met Sunset once but that was when Sunset shouted at her

God, why did I let my curiosity get the better of me

I know this is probably a contradicting opinion, but I like how most of the villains are forgiven. It shows that light can still be shined in a person's life no matter how much of a bad person they are. And to me, at least it's really just so emotional how sometimes the most evil of people can be redeemed and learn how to be better than they once were. It shows a realistic growth and that forgiveness is not just limited to certain people. Anyone can be forgiven of their mistakes no matter how bad they may seem. Because to me, at least, it's really just a strong message that no matter how bad a person can be, they can still be forgiven and learn to be better. The only thing that makes it more realistic is if the person who is being forgiven except the forgiveness. Let's take Starlight and Chrysalis at the end of the season 6 finale. After Chrysalis was defeated, Starlight basically says "there's still a place for you here and you can learn to be a better person" and extends her hoof hoping to help Chrysalis see that better side to her, but she rejects it. To me, it shows that Chrysalis is so far deep in the corruption of her ways that she doesn't believe that there could ever be a good side to her. That's actually really sad and really realistic to today's society . Everyone is so insistent on punishing people for bad for their wrongdoings instead of helping them work to become better. Speaking of Chrysalis, I straight up don't believe that the Mane Six never tried to redeem Cozy Glow. She's just a child, which means she still has room to grow and learn how to be better. I understand that Chrysalis and Tirek probably might be more hesitant to change, considering they're both full-grown adults, but Cozy as a child and children are more adaptable to change than adults. The show has shown that there is goodness inside her she just needs someone to help her in that area to help her become a better person. Honestly, out of all three of them, Cozy Glow is definitely the most likely to accept change because of her her mindset. Cozy is just a child learning how the world works. And for everyone to say that a child like that is irredeemable just makes me really sad

I like Equestria Girls and I love Sunset Shimmer (My most favorite character in MLP EQG and FIM)

Just my opinion

Personally, I think Principal Cinch was actually pretty good as a villain, as rather than being a magical creature hell bent on world domination and physical superiority, she’s a psychological threat who manipulates and poisons the minds of everyone around her; she’s kind of like Umbridge in how much more realistic and personal she is, a toxic influence on the children she’s supposed to be looking after and turning them into destructive monuments to her own narcissism.

4:07 NAH, that sfx just sent me back a decade of my life.

Midnight in me has i think has same beat and relatively same melody as Luna's future

The rant at 1:00:58 singlehandedly shortened my life expectancy by 2 decades, it was so unneeded

55:59 Ahhhh, No!! It’s the movie Groundhog Day

The gamer sunset short is the only short I know of and it’s the best one because Sunset

Edit: ALSO UNDERRATED ALERT UNDERRATED ALERT

In My Little Pony, a moon is a unit of time that's equivalent to one year in Equestria. The length of a moon isn't specified, and director Jayson Thiessen has said it doesn't have a human equivalent.
