Dune Awakening Base Building: Design Mistakes & Advanced Tips

Dune Awakening base building mistakes can cost you more than a few resources—deleting the wrong support can bring down your entire base.
Here are the building tips, design tricks and advanced systems I wish I knew sooner, so you can build smarter and avoid expensive mistakes.

We'll cover safer Sub-Fief Console placement, mass refuelling, drive-through storage, vehicle and container naming, and leaving enough room for huge late-game machinery. I'll also explain the 15-minute deconstruction-loot warning, fabricator storage circuits, projections and safer demolition.

Then we'll get into Advanced Sub-Fief placement, horizontal and vertical staking units, building limits, and why resetting your land claim can go badly wrong. There's also Deep Desert storm damage, building around Primrose, more flexible pillars and Pentashields, and the Solido Replicator changes demonstrated in the video.

Primrose placement and some building behaviour can depend on the game version, location and server settings. Test your layout before committing valuable resources.

just remember if you are playing Multiplayer and building around a natural roadway, leave access for people to get through don't be like some people in the shield walls.

fun fact: when you Relocate a base, the game tells you you can only do it once every 7 days. HOWEVER, if you delete you subfief and rebuild it and your base is completely within its boundry, you can relocate the base immediately. i did this multiple times over the past weekend.

Lot's of great info here. The stuff about circuits was especially useful. I have double-crafted so many items, only to find them later in some "mystery" container. It all makes sense now! 🤣

I just wish there was some snapping for placeable items. Snapping to walls, snapping to adjacent objects, etc. It can be such a pain placing a large refinery and even simple storage chests in just the right spot, but if they could snap to walls and other objects that would be amazing. Placing a row of storage chests would be so simple and easy. So annoying manually aligning them. If you could place a half-wall then snap the directional wind turbines to them then delete the wall it would especially make my base look just that much better.

Just a quick thing to add: back when I was playing, I joined a guild (one of, if not the biggest in OCE at the time) and they taught me through their experience that when moving your subfief, try putting it down to the lowest point of your base that you can, even below your foundations if possible - for example, if your foundations have a bit of height to them you can destroy one, and hide the subfief underground. Keep it accessible through some kind of roof door tile or something, because its very useful for refueling and other information about your base, perms, etc. But the reason you want to do this - is because if your base is left unchecked and without fuel, and it starts to decay, it will decay from the top, downwards. Putting the subfief at the bottom allows you the maximum amount of time from the moment your base starts to decay, to the moment its completely unrecoverable. It will push it to about a month of time before its completely gone. (a little less than a month I believe). Might not be super important to some, but to others who don't hop on much and don't bother using a base recovery tool, it could be the difference between logging on to half a base, or logging on to no base.

Playable swatches are acquired by getting landsraad rewards from various house reps around the world. Armor and vehicle swatches are bought from the vendors. Might save a few from an endless hunt.

You can leave the basin in any direction except west. Radiation going to get you first. And same in regards coming back. Coming in on the west of overworld portal.

Спасибо тебе добрый человек за ценную информацию , многое из этого я либо не знал , либо остерегался использовать ввиду того что даже малейшая неточность в расчетах создаст большую проблему в итоге ...прохожу эту игру в соло , как то не люблю онлайн игры с наплывом неадекватных игроков , увы их по статистике больше чем нормальных адекватных игроков сама игра жутко понравилась из за возможностей постройки , чего я в играх ценю и люблю ... всегда возникает проблема с переносом базы , а учитывая что строить я люблю масштабно ) , есть некоторые вещи когда ты строишь то их не замечаешь или не запоминаешь так как на строительство базы может уйти неделя или больше , например ты можешь установить светильник или лампу где нибудь на скале или на том участке местности который не относится к твоей непосредственной базе и тогда ты не сможешь установить базу заново на новом месте , возможно даже не сможешь ее скопировать , так что эта ошибка мне дорого обошлась , когда я наверное часа два потратил лишь на то чтобы найти этот гребаный светильник где то на скале сбоку и удалить его , первый раз я полностью снес базу из за такой вот моей невнимательности ... еще проблема возникала при удалении консоли феода , так как ты и говорил получалось что когда я удаляю например пол на котором висит эта консоль феода , то удаляется сам феод и после когда снова ставишь его на свое место , то оказывается что часть базы например угол постройки сейчас сильно сместился вбок и эта часть подлежит только сносу , так как если на ней что либо установлено возможно в ряд несколько систем питания базы ( опять же история из моего личного опыта ) , то в мгновение ока вся база будет обесточена ( у меня как раз в этот момент оставалось 5 минут до кориолисной бури , вот как то так сошлись звезды )) в итоге я успел , но нервов потратил много ... сейчас открыл вторую консоль феода , но вот почему то не могу ее нигде поставить , удаляя первую консоль пытаюсь установить консоль второго типа и ничего не получается , если знаешь почему, помоги пожалуйста советом ...

Best advice I have for the console is build so you have some rocks inside your base and put it on the rocks. Also if you can build close to a shieldwall you will be going to Overworld Map a lot the less durability you use doing that on your orni the better. Also if you're moving stuff build a new container look where it says backpack in your inventory when you're looking at the stuff you need to move, select a vehicle with storage put it in that one then head to the new container and do the same to pull it over. It's quicker. I just had to move 50 containers myself and I found this to be a lot quicker doing it like this.

Left out the base pickup tool where you move your bases avery 7 days on servers. Single player, no timer. I started at lonch Day, and the base blue print copy has improved it use to only the frame of the base without the storage and other stuff. Good improvement. Big note as long the base is on the rocks next to the sand, you can not destroy other base by using thumper to call the worm.
