I'm working on some upgrades/modifications for that hot foil stamper you used and like. It really is excellent quality for a fraction of the price. I'm adding an extra aluminum plate to the top plate that will be thinner than my stamp so it won't affect my stamp but it will give the stamp something to but up against so that I can get it immediately into square so that my stamps are always perfectly straight. I'm also adding powerful recessed magnets to the bottom side of the base plate so I have magnets that will hold my leather to be able to stamp foil many times increasing it's quality without the possibility of the leather moving at all which would ruin the final product. And the last upgrade is to simply drill like a 1/2" hole to the front of the slot on the top plate so that I can have other stamps that are already started with the tightening nut on it, so I'm not trying to fiddle with that when I need to do multiple stamps and have to change out the brass. This one will keep me from getting burned a lot. But these upgrades take this stamper from good to absolutely excellent and, in my opinion, even better than the $500+ dollar ones. I got mine used on Amazon just recently for $130. I then got a handful of custom stamps and I'm in business. Hope this helps and you decide to do the upgrades also.
