Eight years ago, Mr. Lee Bok-min returned to his ancestral home, Soseongnamdo, in search of a place to rest his weary and ailing body.

On an island, one must be self-sufficient in everything.

He secures today's food through fishing and traps, and fearlessly climbs the rocky shore to gather medicinal herbs.

Fishing is not easy due to the strong waves, but the conger eels and rockfish caught from traps set in advance are a seasonal delicacy.

Mr. Kim Ok-su, an acquaintance who does not mind the four-hour sea journey to visit his "older brother," joins them.

The two head to the sea, Mr. Lee Bok-min's paradise and playground. Lost in the moment, completely engrossed in gathering sea snails...

We encounter a special feast offered by the winter sea.
