I created a post for the mod, but forgot to include it in the description. It is there now but for convenience here is the mod link: https://mods.factorio.com/mod/PollutionHeatmap

factorio players be like pollution is bad because it wastes compute

Pollution really is a bell curve for Factorio players:
"Pollution is bad because it causes attacks!"
"Pollution is fine because you can just build defenses"
"Pollution is bad because it causes lag"

Bruh, just create a modded building that generates the pollution and simulate at 64x speed. Your dedication to the cause is eyewatering.

Legendary upcycled refresh pull

Interesting to see when the tree timer kicks in you lose 10% of UPS.

Return of the king. Hopefully more Factorio content coming, love these videos.

The number by the tree in the pollution menu isn't the number of trees, its the amount of pollution affected in the given time period. This is why it's equal to the /m when viewing the 1 minute interval and 10 times the /m when viewing the 10 minute interval.
The health of trees is their entity health, for bullets and impacts and grenades, it has nothing to do with pollution stage progression. A mod to add the pollution stage to the tree tooltip would be interesting, actually...
Otherwise definitely Legendary quality video.

Suggestion, to add a bit of extra domapine at the end of the video for your viewers. Turn the tree back on, and timelapse the disappearing of the pollution cloud !

The amount of work you put into these videos is incredible. Thank you!

These animations are awesome. They disproportionately improve the production value of the video.

Manim animations are looking very good!

the manim sections turned out nice

i thought this video was about real life pollution, then i thought this shit was a big ass vanilla pollution cloud that was so big it was somehow blue aswell.

Great video and informative as always, Abuc!

Would love to see a video going in depth on the clock + radar setup you've got going on there some day.

Yeah, Manim is cool.  I thought I recognized that.  😊

Interesting stuff!  Always appreciate your deep-dives!

As always I enjoy the data-backed strategies, but the animation and presentation definitely elevates the whole thing.

Keep pollution down to not tick off aliens: ❌
Keep pollution down to save frames: ✅

Wish everyone a wonderful evening!!

I love the pollution solutions mod for pollution control
