Our side quest for sub 1 hour videos has ended. We are now back to the main quest of factorio documentaries. Onward!

Just here to mention that I do in fact like this kind of long-form content. And other kinds too. It heals my soul.

Abuc: If you like this sort of long form content
Also Abuc: less than 1 hour video

I like this sort of thing, it is super interesting to see how people make their high end designs

It’d be cool if you made videos showcasing the best builds the community has found for each items, from small setups that can be used in casual play through by everybody to mega base stuff, all of them being extremely optimized

I found this form of video really educational, I've never built nearly as large as what your doing, so many of the concepts are new to me.

Well, I made it to the end. Now I'm going to go and strain my spaghetti base trying to make another space platform to get to fulgora this time

That Michael Hendriks callout haha, keep up the amazing content, i've been following since the start, perhaps someday i will even get into this late game stage and can finally make use of all this info!

I really like this kind of tutorial content. It’s really useful.

You would be pretty good at IC design or at least layout.  It uses a lot of the same concepts like hierarchical design with a unit slice, timing, matching ratios.

This is why I love watching these videos on the way to bed. I had no idea that insufficient power affects transmission efficiency for beacons. I guess I just thought that because the beacon was usually subject to the same power deficiency as the machine it affected, that machine would be slower. That was obviously not sufficient thinking, as the developers will tell you. If it were, you could make micro grids with a single small power pole and a single solar panel, and however many beacons fit around it, and never pay their power cost.
Given how overstimulating the other garbage in my feed is I really need these videos to wind down! Thank you.

33:33 There was a way to get that iron pipe through, you didn't have to switch to EM copper wire. Right input, right one, then down, and then underneath the lower blue EM. For sulfuric acid rotate both EM 90 degrees, connect on the right side and connect the bus to the top one.

even in the end game pro gamer math based builds, there is never ever enough green circuits

Wow thats an impressive blueprint. Simple not overwhelming complexity. I understand it. Although it does rely heavily on quality its still pretty good without it.

Love the long form stuff, I don’t have the time or patience to play much factorio, but seeing the process of a design coming together like that is cool

Thanks for the video, really enjoyed seeing the process!

Like the chapter title graphics

Fun times.  Yes, do enjoy this.  😊

At 37:00, why didn't you have the blue circuit output inserter going directly onto the belt moving the LDS? You had the tile on the side of the EM plant and could output to the correct side of the belt right there without any side loading.

I would love to see a design all the way to the most miniscule of optimizations, then comparing all of the breakpoints in benchmarks. So we can compare effort vs reward or discuss something like that.
Separate episodes on a small series can make it YouTube-viable
Maybe keep going with this utility design you designed on the video already? Since it is apparently a mid-sized pain :)

Goddamn you're fast...
Everything you do is like 4x my speed, if not more.
I knew I was slow but... jesus.
No wonder you can build at such scale.
