23:01 Jack is a pirate - he lives most of his life on a ship. Back then a lot of sailors had this problem - they swayed a lot when walking on solid ground, yet they were perfectly balanced on a ship no matter how much it rolled or pitched.

Jack's initial reveal from the top of the mast, then jumping into that tiny sinking boat is THE best entrance in movie history!

I know it's been months now but please continue this franchise

Orlando Bloom (Will Turner) said they were underwater in that air pocket of the little overturned boat that he became delusional and started speaking Elvish lines from the Lord of the Rings due to the lack of oxygen.

The house Elizabeth lived in was government housing because her father is the governor. It was mentioned more than once. The wig he wore was due to status, yes, but also because personal hygiene sucked back then and most people wore wigs to cover scalp conditions.

Thank you! It always made me feel queezy knowing Elizabeth was maybe 12 and Norrington was in his 20's at the very least.

He missed a crucial end credit scene that helps setup the second movie.

this is one of the few movies i can recite from memory, word for word
i fucking love Captain Jack Sparrow

11:02 - 12:18

I love the first Jack scene as it perfectly shows his character without him saying a word

This takes me back to my childhood 🙏🏻👍🏼 Jack is the best and I love the music in the movie

The song leader at our church (Church of Christ) was in his 20's when I was a kid and he helped babysit me and the other kids at our church. The day one of the girls I grew up with turned 18, he asked her out and she said yes. 6 months later they were married and I was considered sinful perv for calling him a creep. No one, not even her family found it strange. I understand that was normal back in the day, but in 2008-2018, I found it super creepy. So, yeah, Norrington wanting to marry Elizabeth, and the dad approving it, would be normal during that time in that country and with high society people. But yeah, for average people nowadays, it just feels wrong.

I love Barbossa. Cause while yes, he is a cold hearted bastard. At the end of the day, in this movie, he just wanted to lift the curse, and be free. That's it. If it had been Will, instead of Elizabeth the first time, he would have been freed, and probably dropped him off at whatever island he wanted and sailed away, just happen to finally be free of the curse. Instead he got bad luck. Elizabeth lied to him, and got both Jack and the Navy involved, which ultimately brought about the circumstances of his death.

To me, that's what makes the ending hit so much more. He finally gets to Feel something. But instead of warmth, it was the cold embrace of death. He falls back dead, and drops the apple he wanted to eat after not being able to eat for 10 years straight. Such a great villain, and tragic ending for him in my eyes.

Wait, Fax never watched Pirates? And managed to live until today while avoiding spoilers? I'm not even mad, that's amazing.

You should watch 2 and 3 as well

Please do the reaction to the second one it’s called dead man’s chest. There’s a couple more after that.

I want to say so much about Barbossa, but at the same time I don't want to spoil anything. I just love his character 🩵 and the way they killed him. (If you know, you know.😉)
Edit: Watch all 5 POTC movies, don't stop at the 3rd one. People tend to dislike the 4th and 5th movies but I love them!💙

Grew up watching it and love it
