MIRACLE MOVE ON DRUG | Taylor Swift - Fortnight (feat. Post Malone) | COUPLE REACT

Taylor Swift opened The Tortured Poets Department with “Fortnight,” and now we understand why Swifties said this was essential context before the full album reaction.

This music video was haunting, cinematic, strange, beautiful, and packed with symbolism. Taylor and Post Malone created such a heavy atmosphere together, and by the end, we were fully pulled into the black-and-white tortured poet universe. The typewriters, the asylum imagery, the emotional tension, the visuals… this was a whole experience.

Huge thank you to Eileen for the request and for bringing this one to the Swifties! Now we feel even more ready to step into TTPD. 🖤

When Taylor and Austin ( Post) accepted the award together she said she couldn’t get him to stop saying yes ma’am 🤣

The Dead Poets Society came out in 1989, Taylor's birth year. The other guy is Josh Charles, who was also in that movie.

FYI Travis was present when she was filming this video. You can hear him laughing in the background. She mentioned it when she won the MTV award for it.

You mentioned celebrities in videos, the video with the most celebrity cameos is definitely “Bad Blood” with Kendrick Lamar with 17 celebrities.

I LOVE how open you guys are with each other. Your abilities to be honest and vulnerable with each other about previous experiences when relating to her music is a breathtakingly beautiful testament to the strength of your union. I am utterly respectful of your emotional maturity.

The easter egg she put on the book...she wrote 'us', which was actually a song on Gracie Abram's 2nd Studio album 'The Secret of Us'. Us (feat. Taylor Swift) was the easter egg!

I hope you'll put a bunch of your ttpd reactions on YouTube.

When they were together at the award show, they were so funny together haha
-Taylor saying Austin (Post) is always calling her ma’am and him answering “Yes ma’am”
-Taylor giving an award to Post and him trying to give it back and Taylor hiding shaking her head ‘no’
-Post just having an “error” and and a full system reboot when looking at Taylor on the stage
-The Taylor dancing
-Taylor taking Post’s drink so he can take pictures with people
Etc
Taylor at any award show is so fun

Taylor contacted her friend, Maya Hawke, to get her dad's number to ask him to do this. Maya wasn't told why though.
Josh Charles and Travis had an intense but friendly beef on the set about football.

This album was my first full album I've ever listened to and opened the rabbit hole for me because like most people, I only heard what had played on the radio. It has been such a great journey to discover who and what Taylor Swift really is.

Amazing MV. TTPD is an incredible album (my personal fave, though I love TLoaS and all her albums). The names on Ethan Hawke’s and Josh Charles’ lab coats are the last names of their Dead Poets Society characters. There’s also a fan theory that you could really see the connections between the film and the album by playing TTPD’s songs, last to first, while watching TDPS.

BTW, Ethan’s daughter, Maya Hawke, has been a Swiftie since she was a kid. And EH tells a great story about the legendary Kris Kristofferson (who knew a little something about great songwriting) telling him years ago while Swift was still a teenager that “if that kid stays outta rehab, she’s gonna be the greatest American songwriter yet”. That Rhodes scholar saw this NYT piece coming.

Omg Alanna and I are the same!!! Lol. I am a homebody, 100% introverted. I always tell my husband I need to go back to my bubble now. 😂❤

Pevy loves Taylor ❤ he knows she’s a cat lover, he is so handsome. Great reaction as always! Look forward to the album reaction. It was cute seeing when Taylor and Post won VMA’s in 2024. Their award speeches were great!
