Is Cambodia The Next Thailand?

With tourism growing, cities developing, and more expats discovering Cambodia, it’s easy to see why people are making the comparison. In this video, I'll discuss what Cambodia has in common with Thailand, where the two countries are very different, and whether Cambodia could follow a similar path in the years ahead.

If you’re serious about Moving to Cambodia but don't know where to start.

Cambodia certainly does not want to be like Thailand.

I'd say the lack of a beach should help preserve s.r. from over tourism,

I've heard Phú Quốc island this season are having chartered flights from 14 russian cities ... unfortunately the place will be ruined ,

the ease of getting a long stay visa is what makes Cambodia so much more desirable then Thailand and if i want to go to Thailand it's just next door

Are you going to meet ‘Regular Guy’? He’s in Siem Reap right now.

I think thailand is the one who wants to be the next Cambodia. Look at how they try to claim Khmer cultures as theirs.

As a Canadian living in Siem Reap, I follow the numbers as well. Where do you get the information that indicates "tourism is growing" in Cambodia? I cannot find anything to back up your claim. Numbers are WAY down from last year, which was also an awful year. Short and long term visas are down, Angkor visits are way down, hotels shuttered, etc, etc. I hope you have the information to back up your points. No need for dishonesty to try to create a narrative.

Interesting. Hopefully it will stay as is. Never been to Cambodia but seen Thailand and .... I dont want that

Actually Cambodia is starting to make everything really difficult for visas. Now we need a job or a registered company to be able to stay. beeing Digital Nomad and hanging around like it used to be is not possible since September !! Very new rule !!

Until Cambodia starts thinking things through and transforms Sihanoukville into an expat heaven, Thailand wins.

No?? Cambodia Crowded ?? The tourist numbers are way down from last year because of Trump's war - not to mention it was already down from 2020, the year of COVID.
Your info is misleading
