"Having called Australia home for the past 18 years, after moving from the UK, I'm constantly struck by the sheer depth and diversity of this nation. It's a place of incredible layers. You can immerse yourself in vibrant city life that rivals anywhere in the world, then escape to breathtaking coastlines that stretch endlessly. Beyond that lies the rugged beauty of the bush, the sprawling farmlands, and the resilient spirit of outback communities. There's always something happening, a constant variation in landscape and lifestyle.
And the wildlife! Seeing those iconic animals in their natural habitat is always a thrill. Wombats are undeniably cool – I have encountered them  here in South Australia. I love thec emus.  But then you journey up the west coast from Perth to Exmouth, and it's simply mind-blowing. Further north, and then venturing through the vast outback, you discover rodeos, genuine cowboys and yraditional owners and lively country events, complete with those quintessential, well-loved utes. It's proper Crocodile Dundee territory, an absolutely amazing country. You'd need years to truly explore it all and fully appreciate its immense beauty and character."

The wire mesh on the door these are called fly screens or security doors

“Its like a netting for bugs!” lol

As a Perth local, so glad your family is enjoying your visit! Makes me realise how many things we take for granted here :)

As a person born and raised in Perth, it makes me very happy to see you guys having an excellent time with your family!

Koalas and wombats do not occur naturally in Western Australia.  Those big koalas are probably from Victoria.  Queensland koalas are smaller.

Advantage of australia is the huge size, so more nature.

Guys, the only Koalas that include ‘bear’ in the name is the Genus called Drop Bears. All the rest are just Koalas.

Assuming you filmed this within the last couple of weeks, then you arrived in Perth in time for perfect autumn weather. It's been gorgeous here recently.

Kings Park is rated as one of the top 10 botanical gardens in the world. It's a pity you didn't do the above ground walk through the trees. The wildflowers in spring are beautiful. Enjoy the rest of your time in Perth.😊

Welcome. Your front screen door is a security door, keeps out flys and robbers. 😅😅

Went to Perth twice in the 90’s while I was in the U.S. Navy. Absolutely loved the city and the lovely people even more. Hope I can return one day.

Welcome to Perth! Netting = fly wire 😊

You can get beer anywhere in Perth

The koalas get stressed when they are held so your interaction was preferable.

I am glad you are enjoying your visit. The difference between English fish and chips and Australian, is the fish. Your palates are use to cold water fish, where as Australian fish is more a warm variety, coral variety. Orange roughy is our coldest water variety, caught in the southern ocean, closer to Antarctica.
