It was recorded last Wednesday live at the Jazzclub ‪@Jazz-SchmiedeDüsseldorf‬ in Düsseldorf, Germany and is presented to you by my online class GypsyGuitarAcademy.

Raised on a small ranch in North Dakota, Rory grew up recording and touring with the family band. He started teaching himself to play guitar and piano at age 3. By age 5 he was the drummer in the family band. He currently plays over a dozen stringed, keyboard and wind instruments. He may be blind, but was blessed with an ear for music that is second to none!

I have never heard of Rory Hoffman before today. I only realized halfway through the video that he is blind. I now feel deeply ashamed for each and every time I said "I can't do this!" in my life. What an unimaginable amount of frustration must he have to have coped with to get to that level of artistry. He is up there in the top 5 of what I consider the best guitar players/musicians of all time. That makes 3 out of 5 on that stage.

I thought I had seen everything in relation to the guitar.... but the musician Rory Hoffman has left me speechless...¡¡¡ I have been amazed by Rory Hoffman and his particular way of playing. I thought I had already seen it all......For me they are geniuses...!!!

With wars in Ukraine and Gaza ripping peace of mind apart, how restorative it is to listen to such human perfection.

Some things heal you without you knowing that you needed healing. This is one of them . 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽

This is too much talent for one stage! Rory is absolutely amazing!

I have never heard music that I have enjoyed as much, or had the deepest respect for. It was Django Reinhardt & Stephane Grappelli that truly moved me into discovering Lew London's album Swing time in Springtime. I studied piano with Mrs. Carlini & guitar with John Carlini who lived in my hometown of Summit NJ . BUT...NEVER HAVE I HEARD anything like Joscho Stephan, Richard Smith, & especially Rory Hoffman who has mastered the guitar in such a unique way, plays the xaphoon & has an incredible voice. I have such respect for these musicians and can only dream of playing the way they do. Thank you gentlemen for sharing your amazing music....when you play you make the Angels cry & the heavens dance. I met Rory in 2010 at the Chet Atkins convention. He stole the show and by the last day he was center stage with the big guns there. He's a delight to watch and to meet him is a pleasure.
Love you bro.

Joscho, on what planet did you find Rory Hoffman, it could not have been earth! 😂😂

@DianeLee999 2 years ago

Absolutely loved Rory’s quote of “don’t mean a thing” in the first tune! What an absolute treat to see each of these artists blending his talent so beautifully and generously. Thank you, gentlemen! 💜🇺🇸

¡¡¡¡ Tears fall from my eyes watching the performance. I'm sorry but that's how I am.. ¡¡¡¡ I can't be happier in my life, except when I hear and see Joscho playing with whatever group... Seriously, thank you for making me happy...

I think no one including Joscho and Richard did not expect such an outstanding Night Life performance from Rory
