Oil Filter 13 Ft Lbs. use thin layer of oil on rubber gasket of filter. Drain Bolt 21 Ft Lbs. use new crush washer. Recheck oil level after starting as oil filter is empty. Never check oil on pit or center stand. (Note: Oil filter hand or just beyond hand tight and drain bolt snugged up works just fine) BTW—excellent video!!
This is why I always watch maintenance videos on a vehicle (car or motorcycle) I'm interested in. If it's a pain, I lose interest rather quickly. My wife's Ford SUV water pump is driven by the timing chain. It's a nightmare to change the water pump. Ended up paying $4.5k for a water pump.
I went to look at a Z900RS today, and now have been watching maintenance vids. Seeing what has to be done just to get to the air filter and plugs, I'm thinking I might consider going back to Harley. Just kidding (kinda). Thanks for posting.
Thanks for the video! I needed to know how to remove the air box to install a Trans Logic quick shifter harness. Looks simple enough from your video. I appreciate you taking the time to share this!
Excellent video, thank you very much. I just bought my Z900RS and here in Brazil there aren't any good explanatory videos like this. Mine is a 2020 model and only has 2000km, so I need to do preventative maintenance.
Bel lavoro grazie della condivisione! Domattina cambierò l’olio e il filtro olio. Sono a 10.500km. Filtro aria e candele aspetterò almeno 20.000/25.000 km ma lo farò fare in officina: troppo complesso! Bravo 👍
