Nangay Paon – Episode 01 marks the beginning of a memorable classic television drama featuring some of the most respected actors of Pakistan's golden era of television.

Originally presented in 1993, Nangay Paon features Rahat Kazmi in the powerful role of Azeem, an influential and egoistic businessman, alongside Saba Hameed. The cast also includes Iffat Omar as Nida and Shabbir Jan as Nazar.

The drama is particularly remembered for Rahat Kazmi's compelling performance as Azeem, a complex character whose wealth, influence and strong personality become central to the story. Retrospective accounts describe this as one of Kazmi's significant later television roles and his final major drama before moving primarily toward other professional work.

Nangay Paon is part of the rich tradition of serious, character-driven Pakistani television drama, where strong performances and social themes were given greater importance than spectacle. The drama has continued to attract interest from audiences looking to rediscover the classic television productions of the 1990s.

The title Nangay Paon is also associated with an earlier long play by the same name, which is why this 1993 production should not be confused with the earlier version.
