Fanta is not American, it was invented in Germany and European Fanta actualy contains orange juice

Mc Donald’s in the UK introduced root beer to their menu a few years ago, it was withdrawn within a week. It’s bloody awful.

Dandelion and Burdock would be our root beer.

I never comment on youtube, but if we're giving out channel name ideas, how about "Queen Boomer's taste of the world". That way she's not constrained with just europe, and if on occasion she wants to veer into other genres besides cooking, (travel vlogs etc), she could without mis-selling the theme of her channel.

I tend to be suspicious of drinks that practically glow in the dark

"Queen Boomer Eats The World", that way the dishes aren't restricted to one continent.

Has Mountain dew been passed through a nuclear reactor? it looks like something from the simpsons opening credits.

Being a European, Hollywood taught me that in America (yes, that's what we call the US) everybody carries guns and life ends not with a funeral but either dying homeless under a bridge or being shot, and that you will be imprisoned at some point in your life, just because. What Youtube taught me was that Hollywood was, surprisingly, right, plus that the state religion is $$$, the Bible is a weapon, food poisoning is a national sport, after which you become addicted to painkillers and end up homeless after you bought your doctor that new Porsche, hence the prison, I suppose, and seeing this I finally get why people mistake bleach for a drink.

When he said the Unwell smells like the pineapple chunks you used to buy as a kid in a white paper bag from the corner sweetshop and equated it to cellulose, he meant acetone. It's also exactly what pear drops smell of.

“Desperate shag in a skip” is probably better than all of these.

Orange Fanta in Europe is nothing like the American stuff. It was advertised in the "Hitler Youth", magazine.

McDonald’s in the UK used to serve root beer. Tried it, never had it again 😀

When you laughed at him only having Fanta once per year and saying "you don't love it then", you've got to remember that he comes from a generation of Brits who genuinely did only have something like that once or twice per year. Back then that would be considered a luxury, and something you'd usually have out at a restaurant as the odd treat for the family, not something you buy from the shop and have in the house regularly.

Fanta technically isn't an American drink, it's German. The Coca Cola company does own it now though, but originally was from the early 1940's Germany.

Would love to see James doing this with Oz Clarke - both of them would suffer loudly (I suspect !)

In 2012, a ‘Dub the Dew’ promotion was run to give American public an opportunity to rename Mountain Dew. The winning entry was ‘Hitler did nothing wrong’ at which point the organisers cancelled the competition. At a roundabout the same time a similar competition was held in the UK for the British people to name a new ship. Boaty McBoatface was the winning entry, but the organisers decided to go with the Sir David Attenborough.
