Great tutorial mate! My D105 was "Scarfing" and I assumed that it was because of some uneven parts of my land. But after seeing your video I checked the deck level and it was out by 1/2 in side to side! (Just goes to show how well they prepare these things at the point of sale (New purchase!) front to back was out as well. But now, deck all leveled up and it is cutting beautifully. So easy to do thanks to you clear and easy to follow tutorial! Thanks Again! Doons
A lot of manufacturers recommend that the front of the deck be slightly lower than the rear creating a pitch. That 1/4 inch difference was perfect for the pitch and you could have left it alone. They recommend 1/8 to 1/2 inch of a pitch, with 1/4 being right in the middle.
We gave a d125 deere & it was just at my local dealer for leveling of the mower deck & I was told by service department that the rear j hooks were on backwards they also said per john deere the j belongs facing the rear of the tractor after bringing tractor home what a difference in mowing. Just food for thought.
Only thing Iβd suggest is make sure the tires are at suggested psi before doing this this way u know when your tires are inflated to proper psi u also know blades are correct too
After drinking a bottle of wine I realized that your ruler thing is about 1/4 of an inch off. Watch the video again where you can clearly see 0 inches on the ruler and you're starting high.... so the 4 inch spot is actually about 4 and 1/4 inches high. Great video though!!!
