He is 6 years old. Bought during the pandemic probably and never socialised. I work for a vet, we see this all the time... poor baby

You must have a group text to your neighbors: “Please don’t call the cops. I’m working a difficult case today.” 🤭😂

He's a good dog and he's trying so hard. This kind of broke my heart.

I genuinely believe because Vanessa continuously speaks throughout grooms, the sound of her voice somehow calms the dogs as she goes along. The majority of "difficult" cases I've seen her do, they mostly by the end tend to be a lot more comfortable and less stressed than when they started. Foster was a prime example of that. Always a pleasure witnessing your work Vanessa!

When you said "Good Boy" with a happy voice, he looked you in the eye and the ears perked up with the praise. Nice job!!

People, PLEASE brush your dog every day!! Be responsible - they will suffer less getting groomed!!

It's nice that you reach out to previous groomers

That combo of bad nail clipping and dematting him really set him up to be neurotic and potentially dangerous to groom, the poor guy. Add the matting he was suffering from when he came in, and it was truly amazing you got all that done without incident. You're such a dog whisperer, Vanessa.

I have never heard noises like that come out of a dog. Truly terrifying.

Your advice works for the vet too. Dropping in and saying hello, getting treats just because really helps

He did so well for being so scared! You did a great job!

For a dog with that level of aggression I think he needs a thorough vet check to make sure he is not in pain...teeth, ears, joints..tummy, organs etc...and take it from there. Shame. Its so sad🩵🩵🐾🐾

His cries are so painful to listen to. He is truly terrified.

OMG... I've never heard a dog scream like that. He's obviously afraid and has been hurt. You did good for how scared he was in the beginning.

@TheOriginalMarimoChan 4 months ago

He was probably more relaxed at the end because he felt so good without all that matted coat

First thing owners need to do is have Foster neutered!

@i.k.6055 4 months ago (edited)

Hope his owner will participate in a training program. You can't just expect a groomer to fix this. She is fabulous.Cute dog though

It's so sad to hear how terrified he is through it all. He can't just be that sacred for no reason and its heartbreaking

@NK-javik 5 months ago

We have a cat whose personality changed from evil to angel after he got fixed. Seriously, I now cannot believe it every time he comes to ask for pets and just hanging lovingly around. Maybe Foster will benefit from neutering. So heartbreaking to see how stressed he is. Thank you for giving him a chance! ❤
