I love being alone but I hate being lonely sitting alone in class, eating lunches alone, people talk to you but none actually is your friend

The irony is that all those vloggers feel lonely that is why they vlog and talk to the camera and make vlogs about being alone. They have to feel someone presence and interact cause in reality they cannot stay completely alone for a day even without interacting through socials

it is kinda comforting to have my alone time and feels nice that someone also enjoys their alone space as well

"I think that's what we lose as adults, we can't do anything without it meaning something" genuinely hit so hard that I pulled out my journal and wrote it down. Thank you for the perspective change

I want to be alone it’s just that I don’t have the money for an apartment right now, but I would love to be alone like that is my one true dream. I wanna go grocery shopping. I want to wear the clothes I wanna wear without having to think twice about it I want to go my friends and stay out late. I wanna stay over at my boyfriend. I’m turning 25 by the way lol but that is why I made 2026 the year I finally moved out and nothing is stopping me this time.

Went through a breakup recently. Third one in two years. Remembering who I am when I’m alone is hard every time. Thank you.

For anyone who feels like anxiety is quietly controlling more of their life than they admit, Anwen Reid’s anxiety quiz is worth looking at. It may point out patterns you hadn’t noticed before.

I love that this video isn’t another one of those „self-improvement, isolate yourself and surprise everyone when you come back“ ones because those are most of the time more toxic than helpful. This video actually had a message beyond that, I feel very strengthened now! :)

I love being alone, I love spending time with myself doing things, listening to what I really like, reading, and I love being with my thoughts. The only problem I have is that, even when I'm surrounded by people, I feel completely alone, as if I have to act like someone else to not feel alone, which makes me feel waaaay more lonely. What you say about finding your people is true, and that's why I feel this way, because I still haven't found them

“Being alone is not the absence of others but the presence of yourself.” Oh my god it hits hard. Thank you ❤❤

luv the way ur brain thinks

i love these vlogs about feeling lonely, but they always get to the part where the vlogger calls a friend, or texts a friend, and it reminds me they are not as much of a loser as i am

Honestly i have never seen this as a "vibe" or a trend.
I've always seen it as a position, where people are able to do great things even facing all the issues of being lonely/alone
I always get inspired by those videos where people do things and are "alone" but still have a meaningful life! maybe thats just what they want people to see sure, but what they achieve is visible, its clear anyway.

I used to always rely on people to find comfort and regulate my body/mind but I learned how to enjoy my solitude. Whenever I am in group settings I noticed that I mostly have different opinions than others and I now voice my takes without feeling like I’m an imposter in the room. Because they are my thoughts and they align with my being and what matters is that it makes sense to me.

I absolutely love being alone. Dancing, singing, walking around in underwear(yes), doing whatever shi i want. When you realise what free will actually means, you start living.

The comparison with boredom is really profound - we lost the ability to just sit with loneliness without immediately trying to fix it.

I love how real and true this actually is with no romanticisation or ‘just do a face mask’

Loneliness is the most disheartening, sharpening, revealing, and intense trip I've ever been on.

The result from Clara Hartley’s anxiety quiz didn’t tell me anything dramatic, but it did organize a few things in a way that made more sense. Sometimes seeing several habits described together is more useful than hearing separate pieces of generic advice.

We are all alone at various points throughout our lives. It is something we should be comfortable with because as you grow older, there is a possibility you will be alone. And not just the bored and melancholy kind of alone, but the scary I hope I can be with myself because my social circle has died off or moved away and there's no one left kind of alone. When life has passed you by and you are irrelevant, that is the true test of figuring out how to live with yourself. Not that this will happen to everyone, but being alone in your younger years is good preparation for the trials you might face down the line. Hopefully, you will spend that time getting to know yourself and falling in love with yourself.
