Thank you so much for watching 🥰 What were you working on watching this episode?

Husband here 👋Thank you everyone for your lovely and thoughtful comments 🫶 This year has been full on for both of us but honestly all of your comments on every video is such a joy to read and a highlight of every week.  The knitting community is the best! Maybe I’ll pick up some needles in the future.. what do you reckon babe? 😂❤❤❤❤

I had a very similar situation with food and vomiting over 20 years ago. It progressed from being able to eat 3 meals a day, then 2, then 1, ultimately not being able to keep even water down over a period of 9 months. I had every test known done and was ultimately given the option of trying a feeding tube or “exploratory surgery”. I chose the surgery. My surgeon found an obstruction/ narrowing of my small intestine in an area not reachable by scopes and not visualized using other testing. It had narrowed to a diameter smaller than a pencil. The surgeon removed a large portion of the diseased small intestine where the narrowing was and reconnected the healthy ends. I was diagnosed with Crohn’s Disease. It was the “oddest” variation of Crohn’s that any doctor had ever seen. I had no other typical symptoms that people normally experienced with Crohn’s Disease. Since that time I have not had any other issues and never had to use Crohn’s meds. I can certainly understand what you are currently going through. It is pure torture.

I don’t normally comment on YouTube videos, but felt compelled to respond to your story. I wish you luck with your heath issues and will pray for your diagnosis and recovery. Stay positive and keep knitting! (I just discovered crochet last year and absolutely LOVE it!)

We're currently navigating a similar situation, and today my wife shared your video with me. It was truly inspiring and gave us the encouragement we needed to keep moving forward. Health is indeed wealth, though not everyone is fortunate to have it.

Knitting and crocheting are a form of meditation for my wife, and selecting yarn colors together has become a meaningful way for us to connect. Starting today, we've decided to limit ourselves to just one complaint a month a small step toward staying positive 😇

Thank you, Eleisha, for your uplifting message.

We lost our 23 year old son eight years ago. Knitting keeps me from shattering into a million pieces. Your videos are very inspiring.  I will pray for answers and healing for you.

Normally I’m not the type to write comments but, some of the German YouTube channels I watch (Germans are very efficient) say that if you write comments with more than seven words it helps the algorithm to show your channel more often as recommendation. You’re amazing and I hope your channel become bigger than you can imagine. Thanks for sharing your thoughts and tears with us. All the best for your future 🍀❤️🍀

I started knitting about 40 years ago, some years more so than others. In 2018 I had a life-changing health crisis that resulted in permanent changes to my life. Knitting is my meditation, and it helped me feel capable despite being physically diminished.  I hope you get some answers soon.  Sending you positive energy and hugs.

I stumbled across your video "how to store yarn in your tiny home" and I was intrigued. Then I watched this Q & A video and I am in love! You are the sweetest thing and I just loved how your vulnerability of showing your passion for knitting and how it saved your mental health during your medical journey. Honestly, I am a crotcheter and have no desire to pick up knitting needles, but I will support your channel just because of your bubbly personality and positive spirit. God bless you, girl!!

Yes . Knitting has saved my life. It has given me purpose where there wasn’t any. It calms me. It is something that gets me out of bed in the morning. It is a dearest of friends that I am eager to visit daily. It has carried me through my own injuries and illness and an uncertain future. I am so happy for you that knitting has done that for you as well. You are an inspiration; you lovely woman. Thank you for your story and that you were willing to share it with us. From the abundance of comments, you have helped so many . Marvelous!

We all cry sometimes,  it cleans us from the bad things. Crying is good for us

Alicia, I think you are so adorable. Your positivity is infectious, especially considering the health issues you’ve been dealing with. I truly hope you get a diagnosis soon and are able to attack those health problems aggressively so that you can continue to live a full and prosperous life.

listening about your health an how knitting helped you touched my heart. i used to be a long haul trucker steel hauler till my heart and lungs took me down medical took my licences  and my carer but knitting and photography gave me hope today i teach knitting , crochet and sewing classes to people with disabilities and mental heath.  gives me purpose now

I was a surgery room volunteer  at local hospital.  A mother was sharing how her adult son was sick losing weight couldn't keep anything down. After many doctors and tests nothing was found.  The hospital did exploretary surgery and found a problem in the duodenum.  I don't remember what was wrong   just that he was about to give  up.  The mother was very grateful that the hospital went further and didn't write him off.  You are a very positive person with a heart of joy.  Don't give up.

Praying for a diagnosis soon and for full healing for you. xx

Awe. My heart goes out to you. I have been through my own health struggles and I agree with you, knitting is an amazing source of joy and comfort. I always lean into it more when I’m not feeling well and it always helps me work through difficult moments. Thank you for sharing more about yourself and the things that fill your life with positivity. Wishing you the answers you are looking for, healing and vibrant health.

I'm crying as you're crying because I too found knitting when my chronic illness started, and it truly is my sanity and joy

Just found you and adore you already...I am battling stage 4 colon cancer and in two weeks have another major op due which will determine my future. Knitting, crochet and cross stitch have truly been my salvation so I fully understand your emotional attachment to the fibre arts. I have very little support beyond my oncology team but the online community of lovely people like yourself, makes me feel less alone. I really don't know what I'd do without my yarning, it is meditative, quiets down my anxiety and gives me something to look forward to.
Bless you and I hope you find a solution to your health issues very sooǹ.

Love from the UK 🤗💖🇬🇧

You are a ray of sunshine!! I am praying for a diagnosis and quick recovery for you!   You and your husband deserve that and also you’re beautiful chickens, and cat need you healthy 🙏 ♥️

Don’t apologize for getting emotional. As someone who’s been dealing with some major health issues for years now, crocheting has saved me in so many ways. It makes me feel like I am somewhat useful again. So I completely understand and never apologize for feeling and expressing those emotions. Knitting is something I want to now learn myself.

You’re in my prayers. You’re one of my favorite knitting podcasts to watch. Thank you for sharing your story. Would love to see your chickens more often. They would make a great channel. Keep your spirits up.
