That moment near the end of the video where Mary realizes how good her bike feels and gets a bit overwhelmed combined with the wide smile on James face showing the satisfaction he gets from helping people is a precious moment. I don't smile much these days but I had one then. Great video.

Ok.  My brain is adjusting!  I was like, "wait, is that Mary?  Where is her guitar and why is she talking about bike fits!"  (That moment when your two worlds meet!)  Mary does it all!

It took me like 4 seconds and go: “Holy crap! Is that Mary Spender??”
I’m so glad to see you in the cycling community apart from the guitar community! Cheers, Mary!

I really relate to this! I'm not a bike rider but I use a wheelchair, so I'm always very interested in getting as efficient as possible in the chair and after watching this I've phoned the rehab centre for an assessment to see if I need anything changed or improved. I just needed to push to call as it were..

Wait, what? You have a cycling channel, too? My two favorite things in the world - cycling and guitars! One of the few regrets in my life is that I didn't start playing guitar the same time I started cycling. I'd be a half-decent player if I had!

The funny thing is, he didn't had to change much on the bike. Basically, you can remember... Move the stem further up, cleats as far back as possible, reduce saddle height by 1 - 2 cm, put a narrower handlebar (with possibly less reach) on the bike and maybe choose a narrower saddle.

Crazy I've been following you guitar page for about 5-6 years and as a cyclist never even got wind of your bike passion Mary. Great to see we share two amazing lifestyles!

Fantastic video, the smiles (on both sides!) say it all about how successful this was … bravo James and a perfect bit of storytelling again from Mary!

Hey it's that guy from that cycling channel and that girl from that music channel! Two of my favorite things in one channel and video. Although I keep putting off a proper bike fit because the way my bike's set up feel good to me and I'm afraid that I'll find out that everything's off and needs to be replaced and not just adjusted and I just can't afford that right now. 45 years of cycling and no cycling-related injuries so I think I'd doing ok.

Mary's huge smile at the end just made my day. I love seeing someone so passionate about what they do and I LOVE seeing so much joy! This is why we bike👍

You can hear it in your voice that you truly feel a burden has been removed, live well, feel well, cheers!

I had no idea Hugh Laurie knew so much about bikes! What a champ.

Damn I love people passionate about their jobs, and this guy IS passionate! So nice to see him!

Disappointment on the face when he said ‘This bike fits’ was so evident. Hahaha.

Very cool to see you visiting with James. The first ~80% of the video was informative & fun in a familiar BFJ way. But everything from 13:00 to the end was just heartwarming. 👍 Looking great, Mary!

"That bike fits. Give me 20 mins." First time I ever hear James saying that in such confident lol. Plus the 50+ free watts and the smile, this is by far the most satisfying bike fitting video I have seen. Kudos to Mary and James.

Clicked the video and didn't even know I'd find Mary Spender here

In yet another example of my naivety, I saw this video in my feed and was like "huh, that cyclist looks like Mary Spender, Guitarist and YouTuber I follow."  I want to be a guitarist, but I am an avid cyclist. Now I have to follow two Mary channels. LOL.

It’s so wonderful to witness you so happy with the adjustments made to your bike and cleats etc. I totally understand the emotional impact of no longer having to worry about the problems and pains of your old setup.

It’s like rediscovering the joys of playing the guitar after getting one’s guitar back from a professional setup… and now you know how I found this channel! Mary, you’re just so honest and genuine, such an absolute pleasure to watch. Thankyou for these wonderful glimpses of your life and who you are as a person.

I've actually binned a bike fitting appointment I had for 15th of this month in order to save up for a bike and shoe fitting with this guy. Nuff said.
