European carp now dominate thousands of waterways right across eastern Australia, since there unwanted introduction in the 1960s. Thousands of tons of carp a being removed every year and processed for fertiliser, and in spite of these efforts of fisheries workers, farmers & volunteers this has made little to no impact on numbers. The carp population continues to grow and their presence increases turbidity, competition for native food sources while decimating the natural environment. Speaking with experts, officials and passionate advocates for our waterways, we want to understand the significance of this issue and discover a real and immediate solution before it's too late.
