How am I supposed to enjoy my hot dog knowing that this thing exists

when I get stressed out with life, I watch videos like this to humble myself and remind me of my mere existence in this universe

"...that keeps astronomers up at night." ← Laughable! Aren't all astronomers up at night...doing their jobs⁉️ 😂

So it was that size 10,000,000,000 years ago..
I can’t imagine how big it is now..

Dude this comment section is the most instagram thing I have seen on YouTube

This universe is friggin terrifying lol

Considering how far it is..... I have not a single molecule of worry

This thing scares the shit out of me for no reason.

Edit: You prople are taking this comment too seriously

Nothing organic can even exist within tens of thousands of light years from this thing. It’s probably the most energetic thing known yet.

Amazing what goes on in the universe while we humans bicker amongst ourselves over meager resources.

One of my favourite things about the nonchalant terror of space from our perspective, is that it almost feels like we are a few grains of sand who have figured out ways of observing how far the beach goes, the power of the waves smashing it about, and the things around us leaving imprints in the sand. We can’t do much to change any of it, but we have an unmatched ability to observe and appreciate it

"TON 618 " hOLy gD reFEReNcE

the sound at 2:50 is so nerving but so cool too

Give me a really long toasting fork and I can do cheese toasties on it.

It's mind-blowing that an object this massive existed so early in the universe [12:22]. TON 618 really pushes the boundaries of astrophysics. Great breakdown

I am so terrified of things that are too distant to ever matter.

Black holes terrify me 😨

One thing I always find odd about videos like this is that when they measure the distance to something extremely far away and compare it to where the theoretical edge of the universe is but doing that assumes that we are at the center of the universe and stationary. You would think someone would look at the universe around us, examine the spped in which objects are moving to figure out if they are moving in a similar, perpindicular or opposite direction and use that to try and find the center of the universe.

Imagine that  is still billions of light years away from us, puts a whole new prospect on how vast our universe really is

We're always taught energy never disappears ,just transforms, so where and what happens to things inside a black hole,, surely our brains can't comprehend or are ready to know
