Actually in that end scene goldman and R2 weren't only attendees, they were used as "wedding rings", since they can't actually wear ring in order to keep the mariage a secret so they traded droids. That is why from now on goldman is always with Padme and R2 with Ani, and they value them a lot.

His analogy about Anakin being like a sheltered kid, forced to repress, repress, repress, then going to college and going absolutely off the deep end is surprisingly apt, to be honest. xD

I personally think Hayden is a good actor, I just think they didn't give him or Natalie Portman that good of a script. Not to mention, his fighting style is so good.

I love how Padme spends half the movie trying to convince Anakin that he shouldn’t love her, while also being dressed like she wants to be drawn like one of his French girls

"Jedi are naturally arrogant"

They're not SUPPOSED to be, but good job picking up on that. The foundation of the fall of the order, right there.

The fact that Alex basically nailed the gist of what made Anakin turn not even halfway through this movie is impressive

As for why Yoda uses his cane and floating chair, Anakin explains it in the pear scene with Padme. The Jedi view the force as something special you aren't  supposed to use whenever you feel like it. Because of this philosophy Yoda doesn't actively use the force to aid him with walking or similar routine things

George put so much effort in not just rehashing, but making every movie different: scenaries / planets, sounds, characters, storylines...

I find it so impressive that a newcomer to Star Wars, on their first watch, is able to figure out EXACTLY what Lucas was intending with Anakin's character and ultimately his downfall. Something so many longtime fans failed to pick up on.

Jackson's purple Lightsaber was a request he made to Lucas when he found out there was gonna be this gigantic fight scene with all these Jedi and wanted to be able to find himself.

The music that plays for Anakin and Padme, Across the Stars, is one of my favourite pieces of Star Wars music ever. It's so beautiful.

Need everyone to know that at some point the Deathsticks guy was canonically named "Elan Sleezebaggano"

Alex, despite your pervy jokes,  which I love, you actually have a REALLY good grasp of what's going on with Anakin's psychological development. It takes most people several viewings of this trilogy to realize what you're catching on to as you watch it. You've just won Gryffindor House 200 points!

I like how Alex totally glossed over the "I don't like sand" line because he was looking up Anakin and Padme's ages. 😂

Those seismic charges make one of the best sounds in Star Wars in my opinion

Fun fact: when Jango Fett walks into his ship after fighting Obi-Wan, you can see and hear him bang his helmet on the closing door. This is a reference to a scene from 'A New Hope' where a Stormtrooper bangs his head on a door in the Death Star.

It was actually Anakin's deeper feelings (both good and bad) that opened him up to the dark side. He hated that as a Jedi he wasn't able to save his mother and wasnt allowed to love Padme. It's ironic that his love for his son is what eventually took him out of the dark.

Goldman calling R2 "my obtuse little friend" is one of my favorite overlooked lines in the entire series. It's so friendly yet insulting at the same time, perfectly represents their friendship

I've been a Star Wars fan for almost 30 years, and to see your journey and reaction to these movies just sends me straight back to my childhood. You'll be shocked and blown away by Episode III

I’m rewatching your SW reactions. My boyfriend and I loved to watch them. He passed away suddenly last Thursday. He was only 52. Thank you for this channel. It’s really helping my heart.
