That’s wild how it’s half abandoned and half open.

The door next to the bathrooms is accessible and open, i remember going in there once and it leads to a crazy amount of halls and stores and was very creepy

The 1960s don't seem that long ago but when u think about it 60 years is such a long time, and the fact this mall is still up is incredible!! It's gotta be surreal walking around in it

I was going to this mall since my mom had to hold my hand. It was thriving in the 70's and 80's. Started to decline rapidly in the mid to late 90's. Peacock alley was the place to be as a teen. Great arcade, pizza parlor, trick shop, a store that sold marijuana paraphernalia, a place that sold martial arts weapons. I mean as a teen Peacock alley was like heaven! So sad to see the decline and eventual closure. Thanks for the great video!

What's with all the historic Shopping Malls closing down? Stratford Square, Ford City and it's only time when Woodfield Mall goes. 😔😔😔

I was on the edge of my seat when that woman passed by lol. So lucky you guys. It’s so sad how these amazing malls have closed down. Once again awesome video and adventure. 🙌

How cool! I'm surprised I never had heard of this place, being a Chicagoland native. Thanks for including the history -- fascinating. Great you were able to get into part of Peacock Alley. Interesting that those meeting rooms had glass walls facing out to the public space. And some tense moments with the cleaning lady! And thanks for including the footage from yesterday. Wow.

Grew up a few blocks away from here, my friends and I would always go catch movies at it back in the 90s before it got a little too rough and everyone moved away.

One of the glass windowed stores you walked by downstairs (Peacock Alley) used to be an awesome sports memorabilia shop back in the 90s and early 00s. There was also an awesome Irish import store down there. The connection used to go across where there was a Childs World store as well in the early 90s before the franchise folded. This was my childhood mall. Thanks for doing a final documentation.

10:14 I always wondered what happened to the Arcade... This was THE COOLEST spot to play as a kid. There were a lot of video games, rides, and various chance games inside here. Won a brand New Gameboy Advance SP here for $1.25! Still got it too, lol. The center ceiling pyramid has lights going around every ring it has that would light up and spin in different patterns
