Notice how important the Wayback Machine was for this investigation and consider donating to support it as a lot of powerful people and big companies out there would definitely benefit from it disappearing.

BREAKING: Honey investigates self, finds nothing wrong

Really smart to call Honey by it's owners, "Paypal" instead of the company they can just shut down. Not sure if this was intentional, but it really pushes the responsibility onto the company OVERALL instead of a small one off venue. If we dont put the blame towards the bigger issue, theyll do it again.

I hate that a lot of US law comes down to ”I did something illegal, but since I threw money at the problem and settled, a court never found me guilty of anything”..

The last CEO that said "he's just a YouTuber" ran his LEGO business to the ground.

"We didn't know our code did that"
Your honor, my client pleads "oopsie daisy"

Honey pulling the ol’ “I have no idea how those drugs ended up in my pockets, officer.” But with code they programmed.

Rule #1 of investigative journalism: if you're getting sued for digging, you should keep digging

To quote John Oliver: "Given that we have been explicitly told to cease and desist, let us do neither of those things"

We regret that we got caught.

Markiplier: “They called me a madman… And what I predicted came to pass.”

if you stole a fraction of what honey did from a cash register you would be in jail for a minimum of 5 years. just in case you still thought everyone was equal before the law or some nonsense like that.

When companies are shown to have repeatedly, intentionally broken the law, I don't think they should be allowed to have a no fault settlement (as I worry will happen here). They should be forced to publicly admit wrongdoing and their fines should be considerably higher than the totality of money they stole

I love how PayPal/Honey’s statements at the end of all the previous videos were basically “how dare you even insinuate this, everything you’ve ever said is pure lies and if you say one more word about us we’ll bury you under so many lawsuits you’ll never dig your way out” and for this video now that they’re in deep legal shit they’re suddenly all “we’re just your friendly neighborhood coupon distributor, we just want everyone to play nicely, would y’all like to be my friend?”

i love that judges are like "look, i think you're on to something, but you just gotta tweak your paperwork before you can get cooking" and then you can try again with the teacher's notes this time. some folks in the justice system really are interested in seeing justice done, but stick to the rules properly to make sure everybody's rights are respected and honored. that's how this shit is SUPPOSED to go. shame we don't get to see more of it.

Oh shit, under OATH?! It's not like anyone has ever lied under oath!

Reminder: MegaLag doesn’t want to end himself, and he’s a great swimmer.

We need to reintroduce prison time for CEOs + fines so large they teach the lesson for the whole industry.
