Was regulating a .350 magnum Rigby today. It’s a renovate back to original so I fitted a new set of express sights as thing was butchered . Had to cut the “V” so I bore sighted it and filed out the v in the rear sight. Checked the bore sighting again. Fired it and was only 2 inches out in elevation. Refiled and bang on it was.
Can’t beat old school.

Could you do more in depth, close up and long form video on regulating, the different components involved, tools, materials, if there's any differences between doing it with double shotguns vs rifles, barrel metal differences, or how to tell If barrels have been braised or soldered etc?

Those end results are very impressive, probably better than come out of a lot of the British manufacturers

Good. Thanks.

Great work!!!

11:08 that’s what we call snake eyes. Perfect.

the bubbas have a king, nice flinch

Great job 👍

😊 beautiful work

Great job!

Thanks for the work. Appreciated. Have you compared this to the Pedersoli 45-70 double rifle? Any insight?

I guess I must have been lucky with mine, one inch groups each barrel  and two inches apart

Hello, just found your video. I have the 30-06 and 45-70 and would love to permanently regulate my 45-70. Just curious. Have you tried working on the triggers?

Well done, regulating barrrels is one the hardest jobs in gunmaking, many guns are sold ex factory with poorly regulated barrels.
Can shot gun barrels be regulated the same way?
I have read the barrels need 2 wedges along the barrels to aid regulating, correct?

I notice you using two rounds with the same barrel, that is not  ordinary procedure on regulating dubbed barrels rifles,  Normaly we shoot right barrel first, and after desired time (example 5-7 sec) left barrel goes.  Heat from first shot does give different point of impact, it`s  depending on caliber of course, my experience is with 9,3x74 and .30-06. both gives 20-25 cm of heat induction.
As an exsample my .30-06 is a over/under where the first shot is the lower barrel, upper barrel after 5-7 sec has impact 25 cm higher than the first one, if I wait 20-25 sec, the two holes are aligned. (this is on 100 meters range)

Good work, curious , what is the twist rate on those barrels?

Way to persist! That last group that looks like Mickey Mouse is sweet!

looking to purchase that same rifle.  Any leads or recommendations

Hi do you still have this rifle, I’d be very interested in buying it

Lance…need to know how you removed the barrel band at end of barrel on the Baikal mp221. Is it silver soldered ??
