I never thought I'd see the day where I made it into a Summoning Salt video, this was an awesome job showcasing a run very near and dear to my heart, thank you!

I'm very grateful you made a video about Cuphead! This is the game that kickstarted my passion for Speedrunning, and I have a lot of fond memories from my time with it and with the friends I've made in its community. Seeing these stories being told in this documentary makes me feel very happy. Thanks Salt! Here's to many more prolific years of Cuphead.

The small moment in this category's history when I competed for world records contains many core memories for me... It's awesome that I have been able to share the journey with such an awesome community and some of the most talented speedrunners that I know!

As of this day, February 21st 2026, the new record is officially sub 27!!

It’s been an incredible experience getting to be a part of a SummoningSalt video.  Cuphead speedrunning is always going to hold a special place in my heart, so I’m glad SummoningSalt was able to tell the story of it so well and showcase how wholesome and friendly the community is.  <3

This strangely isn't as surreal as I thought it would be. Me being introduced with the "I'm coming for you Grondious :)", and the clip of my cam at 52:43 both had me laughing. Glad to have helped with and been a part of this!

It was an amazing journey to participate in early cuphead speedrunning era, and I'm proud how far community grew and runners improved over the years, amazing piece of history masterfuly told!

It’s so cool seeing all the runners down in the comments

SDBWolf having a mini arc of being too shy to create a Discord account to using a facecam while streaming is really nice

1:14:15 I can die peacefully now that my countless hours of bon bon optimizations made its way into a summoning salt vid LOL

For real though I never thought the cuphead speed run  would be seen on a summoning salt vid this is super cool to see.

rerouting the ENTIRE game by yourself, throwing out an established and working route just because of an idea that made you lose 50 seconds to begin with is such a power move, Grondious was exceptionally dedicated to his idea, that's what makes the difference in the speedrunning world

SBDWolf broke the 27 minutes barier TODAY!!!

1:13:50 My life is complete...

...in all seriousness, as an active Cuphead speedrunner and current 7th place in this category, I had no clue this video was in development. Was so delighted to see this in my feed, incredible work!!! So glad the speedrun is getting the attention it deserves

Wow so cool to see the whole story of Cuphead 1.1 very well explained, and I think Groundious, SBDWolf and Jason2890 are easily some of the best speedrunners of Cuphead. Thanks SummoningSalt for making this video. Cuphead is such a great game and it's community is incredibly supportive.

22:17 Hey, that's me!

I was practicing before my third run when I found it. I went to Discord to tell everyone. It took a while to recreate and some thought it was unreliable to try in a run, so it was not used for a while.

Great video and happy to be a little part of it!

QUINCELY JUST GOT A 27 12 !!!

Dayum summoning salt summoned the avengers of cuphead !

i love that grondious's arc starts with "hes not the greatest player but hes very creative" to "hes the (almost) undisputed goat of the leaderboard"
and his sheer joy every time he gets a record is so heartwarming

"This video-" ITS A CLASSIC
