I could listen to Matt's wisdom all day long. I hope to meet him one day. He's been such an inspiration for me in this hobby.

I love both of these DMs- both seem like great people.

What wonderful and fun people they are, honestly i could watch a 10 hour long version of this, easy.

This was amazing!

It was awesome seeing this side of DMs! I've always imagined them as strict judges glued to the rulebooks.

I'm just starting to take my first steps into D&D, and one of my fears was that, because I'm new, I'd be a bother or annoying to my DM and fellow players by asking so many questions. I'm so happy to see that everyone has been so cool so far!

I could see him LARPing as Miracle Max from Princess Bride

Good Talk!

What an insightful conversation. Im starting my own journey of becoming a GM, so looking forward to taking this along with me. ❤

Minute 24:00 - My Daggerheart campaign wascreated because cities like San Fransico, CA and Portland, OR had underground, and those spaces were used for smuggling and press gangs.

Surprise JTHM mention from MM 😮

soCool :) Mercer is 4sure a poster person for tactfully and joyfully delegating and sharing creative control (as a DM, as a writer, i guess as a person) [and i'm sure he wasn't born that way—forged through many experiences]; i'm still VERY much inspired by that - to a point that it actively changed my whole engagement with players.
*btw - it's double cool to live in a world where writing a specific campaign JUST IN CASE you will have the honor to DM for a table of other DMs... and have a chance of that happening above absolute zero :)

It’s Katie Marovitch, isn’t it?

Its high noon... 😈

Who watches the watchers? 👀

5:12 From all the Critical Role Campaigns that I have watched, Sam does not "facilitate a GM's good time".  He makes the most annoying characters; he makes a joke out of the game; ...  Matt you have vastly more patience than I have.  I would have kicked out Sam from my table a long ago.
