We only had three days in Nagoya, so we decided not to waste a single minute—even on Day 1 🤣

We left Taoyuan in the middle of the night and arrived in Nagoya at 6 AM. After dropping off our luggage, we headed straight to Higashiyama Zoo and Botanical Gardens to catch the last autumn leaves of December 🍁

I originally came for the animals, but the park was much bigger than expected! We saw koalas, Pallas's cats, a polar bear, beautiful autumn foliage, and way too many adorable animal souvenirs.

In the afternoon, we headed back to Sakae for the famous eel at Atsuta Horaiken!

I thought we'd finally rest after dinner…
but the real adventure started at night XD

SKYLE, Nagoya PARCO, Chiikawa, Miffy, Rilakkuma, Pokémon Center—and finally Don Quijote.

From 6 AM until late at night, this was our completely non-stop first day in Nagoya（笑）

🐾 Higashiyama Zoo and Botanical Gardens
A huge zoo and botanical garden right in Nagoya.

We entered from the botanical garden side via Hoshigaoka Station Exit 6.

🎫 Adult Admission
At the time of filming: ¥500
From October 2026: ¥800
Free for junior high school students and younger.

The park is huge! If you want to explore the botanical garden, zoo, lakeside area and shops at a relaxed pace, I'd recommend setting aside at least half a day—or even a full day.

🚇 Nagoya Subway 24-Hour Ticket
Valid for 24 hours from the time you first use it.
Super convenient if you're taking the subway several times in one day!

🍚 Atsuta Horaiken
We visited the branch inside Matsuzakaya Nagoya.

From Yabacho Station, head toward Exits 5 and 6 to enter Matsuzakaya directly.

What we ordered:
・Premium Unadon – 4 pieces of eel ¥4,100
・Umaki (eel rolled in Japanese omelet)

It's extremely popular, so I recommend getting a queue ticket first and exploring the department store while you wait XD

🏨 The Royal Park Hotel Iconic Nagoya
Located on the upper floors of the Chunichi Building in Sakae.

The view is beautiful, and SKYLE, PARCO and Matsuzakaya are all nearby, making this a super convenient area if you love shopping.

This time we mainly explored the East Building!

・Sumikko Gurashi shops

East Building 2F
・Pokémon Center Nagoya

There are so many character shops packed into one area.
The only real problem is your wallet（笑）
