I'm an Australian. Once holidayed in Paris with my family one of whom is my son,  then 9yrs old.
We saw an American family complaining that the Metro is useless and is too hard to understand. My son looked at me and with a nod proceeded to explain to the American dad how to use it. Grateful but absolutely stunned the dad asked how he knew so much about it. "Do you live here?". My son was confused by that. "No, but when I heard that we were going to Paris I decided to learn how to get around."
The face ....... a mix of embarrassment, disbelief and respect. He got a fist pump.

As an American I want to apologize to the whole world about the behavior of my countrymen for all of the stupid arrogant things that they do.  We’re not all clueless brainless morons.

10:09  Most French people do speak at least basic English - but when faced with this sort of arrogance, most of them become defiantly monolingual. Frankly I don't blame them.

A lot of these are exaggerated or made up - and they STILL portray American tourists perfectly 😂😂😂

Back in the early 2000s I was a senior geologist with a mining company that had operations and exploration projects in the USA. When we took over these projects the USA exploration geologists received 2 weeks leave a year. The company standard across the world for exploration geologists was two weeks off for every 10 weeks in the field (working out to about 8 to 9 weeks a year). At one investors breakfast in NY one morning, after I had given a presentation, I was berated by several investors for this policy. They also had a problem with the “fly-in fly-out” conditions of all the employees on our remote mines in Australia where all personnel worked 12 hour shifts; 14 days on, 8 days off (later adjusted to 14 days on 14 days off). They expected all our employees to only get 2 weeks leave no matter what conditions they worked under. What interested us most was despite the longer work days and less leave the US, their annual production figures were dismal. Also absenteeism and drug issues were unlike anything we had seen anywhere else in the world.

4:40 If you want to see animals doing tricks, go to Sea World.

3:55 a lot of people in America actually moved to other countries to escape expensive healthcare so some Americans in the situation would be happy because they’re not homeless from medicine

6:44 Remembering our history and being proud of it are not the same thing.

Returning to Cusco by train from Macchu Picchu and the engine stopped and it took an hour to fix.  A road vendor rolled up and began selling food, drinks, and beer to those in the train.  Great party, very cool.

This is what happens when bold confidence crashes headfirst into reality!

Calling French a "dying language" is a bit of an understatement. It's spoken in plenty of countries. Not just France, but also Canada, and a bundle of African countries who were former French colonies. There's even a variant of French spoken in Louisiana, USA called "creole French" which is based on French, but it's not exactly the same as French, which may cause confusion with each other.

2:00 Also, he would soon learn that the government does not take kindly to these kinds of "efficiency management".

I'm with the tourist on bullfighting. Mechanical bull is weird though.

It is such a shame that some people don’t enjoy and learn from their overseas experiences. Why on earth do they travel if not to see something different? Very small minded people.

I cannot believe it iceland has ice wow who knew

I just want to say as someone from the US-- I'm all for a 3 hour siesta in the middle of the day. There isn't a single adult over 30 that I know who would turn that chance down.

Kraft is not cheese. It is a cheese-product, there are filler substances added.

I've been to the cemetery at Normandy. It is very sad and beautiful. It IS how the French show their gratitude.

07:55, well handled.
