Love the elevation endurance effect. In 1993 I ran the Denver International Marathon. Two weeks later I ran the Detroit Free Press Marathon. Similar times.

Thank you for all the valuable information and I do appreciate the people that commented and chimed in. We are seriously thinking about moving out there. I hear there’s a new ordinance or some new law passed regarding water and the amount you can water your plants outside. I hear it’s down to two nights a week. Coming from Arizona I was really hoping to have lush Green I really mentally need it so I guess that is something I’ll have to think about and be creative. I know that Arizona shares the Colorado Waters and I understand they have to make tough decisions.

Which suburbs of Denver would you consider nice, safe, etc.? I’m looking to move but would like to know which neighborhoods/suburbs are the safest.

Good video, but a bit biased towards the wealthy. I do have to say that you grossly understated the cost of living in Denver for most. Only about %10 of the people here can afford it, according to the news reports that say you need to make $130K/yr to live comfortable. Besides all the nickel and dime state/local taxes and fees(also known as unvoted for taxes) we have a 9% sales tax. I would love to see a video breakdown of all the costs for an average person to live in Denver and if it is still a good idea to move here. The median salary here is about $51K after taxes. For example a single adult after a year of $19.2K rent, $1.2K electric, $480 water, $2.6K auto fuel, $1.5K cell/internet, $800 auto insurance, $150 registration, $120 trash, $150 sewer service, $5.2K food, $2K toiletries/clothes/misc. home goods. You could possibly save $1.5K a month. That means living very conservatively with no medical/dental, emergencies, or paid fun in about 7 years you will earn the ability to put a 20% down payment on a house you probably will not qualify for a loan for anyway if housing does not get more expensive.

I live in cherry creek. One of the nicest neighborhoods in the city. I've been robbed 5 times in the last 2 years. Can't wait to leave this place

I came to Denver 3 years ago because I thought I was moving to a place where people smoked weed and were really cool. It was the worst mistake of my life. Denver is a shitshow. It's all well and good that there are places you can travel to, which involves leaving denver, but unless you plan on spending your time elsewhere rather than in Denver why come here? and if you do plan on spending your time elsewhere why come here? Don't do it! It's a trap!

The traffic is a real thing. And it’s horrible. I-25 is always packed and the drivers are horrible so there’s always one or two accidents. When I drive from downtown to Parker or Elizabeth, you pretty need to plan for at least an hour to hour and a half!!!

I have lived here all of my life and Denver has really gone down hill. Chronic homelessness and pollution has gotten worse, traffic is terrible all of the time and driver's are literally the worst in the country! Safety is a serious issue. I don't feel safe anymore walking within the city. It's also extremely expensive! Salaries do not equate to the cost of living! If you have a lot of money, and if you can live in a bubble, it can be ok. The public schools here are not that great! How do I know this? I went through the school systems and raised a daughter here. Taxes and insurance are out of control and you will be paying $$$ out of pocket. I'm retiring out of Denver and can't wait to leave.
