1:32:36 To me training in BO6 feels really unsatisfying because regardless of what you do it feels like you're getting hit with constant damage that feels almost unavoidable at points. Between enemies having complete aimbot ranged attacks, zombie hit speeds & the insane despawn/respawn logic, it leads into training feeling more tedious and annoying, like you're going against the grain which absolutely leads to more prevalence of camp strats.

Bo3 is harder early game, easier late game, and Bo6 is easier early game and harder late game. Depends on what you prefer.

1:37:23 i am an avid supporter of the new point system but i think part of why training is so much more satisfying in classic zombies is because of the orange wall of points that you get when you spray into the horde. Whether you’re killing or not there’s certainly a deep satisfaction when you actively see your points going up like that

BO3 has a lot of the classic traits  - buildables - locked starting weapon etc - only played BO6 since BO3 and it took some adjusting to with the plates, triple pack etc I'd really like to next zombies to take the best from the new and old zombies

1:46:00 that situation right there is exactly why I hate turtle shell. I’d rather be getting nickled and dimed for my hp and shield rather than I turn around once at the wrong time and I’m down.

I've noticed when playing BO6 zombies and going back to BO3 that I feel more immersed and impactful (for lack of a better word) in BO3. In BO6 I feel that with the player and the 4 characters they aren't impacting the story and more experiencing it.

When you mentioned no ammo boxes. You can buy ammo off the wall for guns you have, just box weapons and wonder weapons you can't get extra ammo for. Why I loved the KRM so much!

I remember the first time I played BO6. Didn’t play any COD zombies title since BO3, and with all the hype I got solo into Terminus and felt the first two or three rounds too easy!

And then I found the rampage inducer thingy and said “Hey, why not?” And activated it. Damn.

Got down 2 rounds after that and didn’t even completed the first power box thing, so I didn’t even left the starting room!

8 months later I completed all the Easter eggs more than once, got nebula and some dark ops, and I can tell it has been a lot of fun. I love that way of progression.

Certainly it was very easy to master, but it took me some time to learn modern zombies.

Great video!

The hardest part of classic zombies is solving the pack a punch puzzle without looking up a guide

3:30 holy i have so much time on DE and never knew that, that’s so sick!

I literally just played bo6 and got to round 40 or 50 on citadelle. I then decided to challenge myself and play bo1. Yes it was Kino but still got to round 32 and decided to go down myself. I could have gone longer but the zombie spawns were surprisingly slower than I remember causing the rounds to take a while to get through. The thing that you had to master (at least in bo1) was the movement due to the limited space you had. You had to use the movement to manipulate the zombies to then create more space to get past them if that makes sense. Not sure if people starting on CW or BO6 could go back and do well on some of these maps/games. There is still a skill level in bo6 and similar to bo1. It's movement. The graceful part is you can take more hits now but the zombies do eventually get stronger juat like you do. The special and elite enemies are just as challenging as the panzer except they reward you with ammo and maybe a killstreak so yes Bo6 is easier but it also has it's own skill level/ceiling. Although I must say if you're not running dr. Ram or tribologist and getting PHD that you are dooming yourself to an early game over. Overall bo6 without any augments is actually really difficult but these tools are unlocked and were meant to help you along to perform and do better. In comparison to the older games there just aren't as many tools which has its pros and also cons. It keeps the game simpler. Easier to jump in and play rather than consider the loadout and augments before launching a game. However, the augments and how we use them (except death perceptions) can allow for experimental gameplay which can make the game feel a bit like a sandbox which is what the classic games felt like a lot especially across the maps as the weapons, ww and environments were so different that each map was a new experince. I think the issue comes to we pick our own cons and challenges now. Yes every map is somewhat different what different types of special or elite enemies but the only map with an environmental factor outside of the boss fight is Terminus with the water. Also there isn't unique mechanics to each maps and no I don't consider ww a unique mechanic. What I mean is stuff like the bus in Tranzit. The water holes or cart ride in Shang. The flopper trap in Call of the Dead or even flingers or the panzer claws in DE. There is simply still not as much personality or uniqueness to the maps in bo6 so far but they're still different enough for me to consider which map I want to play but it's more about which ww or how fast or slow I want to upgrade my weapon. I am in control of my cons. With the classic games you weren't in control of your cons and most of the time had to struggle to get a pro.

That intro Cold War soundtrack was such a nice call back, love it!!!

56:14 manglers is absolutely what artificial difficulty means. Zombies getting more health each round is exactly the same from round 1-999. But get to round 50 and you suddenly get spammed with specials to make sure you’re always getting dps checked.

A fun finesse skill in bo3 you  need to slow down or pull zombies one direction to squeeze through. Now answer is always blast ahead with PHD slide.

Thanks Doughnuts for bringing up fair dialogues.

The difference in the points system is it’s a DPS meta for points in modern zombies versus a game of push and pull with old zombies.

If you’re in the lower/mid game at 1350 points and you need a door open (but low on ammo) you can either buy a lesser weapon and use that for a couple rounds, go around and board up the barriers and risk using a knife (round depending), or using grenades/shield for points and use your equipment to get points but NOT kills (situation dependent)

AND you HAVE to kill zombies in new games, you can strategize with the old point system

Never played anything before mw3 zombies so bo6 is very difficult for me, now im getting gooder but it's been very challenging

TWO HOURS!? Close enough, welcome back Mystery Box Podcast 😊

A 2H video lets go, ngl any game gets easy when u master it but bo3 zombies is the hardest zombies in my opinion cus it only takes 1 mistake fot all thr zombies to 5 hit u in milliseconds.

In bo6 because of the jug augmente and aether shroud and scorestreaks u always have a get out of jail free carrf that's what makes it easy.

I don't know why mantling over things wasn't always a thing

I really enjoy listening to your commentary, It's what makes you unique compared to other zombies content creators. I can feel your passion for zombies. keep it up
